Nice Enough For An Old Jeep
First off it's steel not particle board. I would not leave a firearm or treasure in it unattended but it's fine for basic gadgets and necessary items. I installed a scanner,CB,USB ports and cell phone holder in mine. Basically adding a multi media center to my old Jeep and catapulting it into the 21st century. Getting everything mounted and wired was an ordeal but that is all on me and my choices so I can't fault the center console for that. It looks great and the elbow pad is exactly the correct height + very comfortable. The lock is tight and holds the doors securely. Be careful when mounting and do not over torque the bolts or you will pop the welds. As everyone has said the cup holders are not great but if you look around you can find cups that fit well and don't fall out when you go around corners. For off road you just gotta use sealed containers and secure them somewhere else. I did not use the seat belt holder straps. I've found that if you have the hard plastic piece on the buckle side and tighten down the torx bolt, the belt will just stay where you put it. So that was not a problem for me. The next closest metal option is 2-3 times the price of this one so if you're on a budget this is the way to go. It's not perfect but it's nice enough for an old jeep

Great product, fast delivery, easy install, JEEP STORAGE SPACE!!!
This is a very sturdy console, and it adds some much needed storage space to my 92 YJ. I just use the stereo portion for extra storage space, but it would work great for securing a stereo. I gave it a 5 star rating because it is reasonably priced, shipped and was delivered within a couple days, was very easy to install, and it added storage space. The only downside is that the passenger side seatbelt gets stuck now and then when you move the seat up and back down again, but you can alleviate this by just holding the seatbelt while you move the seat... not bothersome enough to remove a star.

5 ⭐️'s - highly recommended product!!!
Great product, quality build materials - very happy! The console is built sturdier than any other I've seen, it comes coated with a textured paint that gives it a great look, they height is perfect to rest the elbow, the cushion comes covered with a material I've never seen before but looks and feels like it's very durable and easily wiped clean, the lock n key mechanism is awesome - comparable to the ones in the small gun/money boxes, the fit is perfectly snug between the seats...I only wish the sidewalls of the cup holders were taller to safely accommodate tall cups - I feel as though the cup would tilt and fall over if I hit a bump, on a curve at the right speed.

Works in Crown Vic
I have a Crown Victoria Police Interceptor and needed a center console because i couldn’t find the Havis police center console used for a good price. Its a metal Console Box, its pretty sturdy for the most part, the cup holders are kinda flimsy, you can adjust the cup holder arms for the size of your drinks but they do not stay in one place they spring back to the completely open position, the main compartment of the box is lockable, its very big inside and can fit plenty of stuff, in my case i keep paper work and a clipboard in there, theres a small compartment for a Stereo, the space is small in there so its going to be select for what stereo you put in there, i removed the welded sections in it so try to make room for my Siren box but it was still too small, so if you don’t want to put a stereo in there you can put some select Ham/CB radios in there, it does have a large hole in the bottom for wiring your stereo system, the arm rest pad is pretty nice and comfortable. I had a Havis Mounting plate that bolts to the seats so i drilled a few extra holes into the box and my Havis Mounting Plate and bought bolts that i wanted to use which i think was 4 inch long 1/4 in bolts and nuts, its pretty secure to the Havis Mounting Plate. It sits a little high in the crown vic but its still more comfortable than no Center console. If you are going to install this into a Crown Vic, you can either find or order a Havis Mounting plate or just place the box into the gab between the seats. It comes with really long mounting screws so if you feel comfortable with drilling into the center of your car you can bolt it that way. I didn’t feel comfortable doing that buts thats only my preference on how well i can do it, you may be able to do it better than i could. $110 i think it was worth it, especially dealing with not center console and no cup holders for a while. Warning some of you boxes will come with slightly chipped paint, mine did but it was inside the box so its not that big a deal for me.

Quality is so so and it can fit, but be ready to do some metal work and welding!
The console arrived with the cupholder end smashed in; the console was not packaged well. After straightening the metal back out, I tried to fit it in my 87 Wrangler and there was no way it would work without being way up into the shifter boots. After searching, I found that several people mentioned having to cut the cupholder portion off. I did this to mine and fixed several broken welds (the console is decent, but the welding is very poor). After trimming, grinding, re-welding, and painting, I finally have a usable console. The arm rest is pretty nice and the console fits well now. Just be warned, you'll have some work to do. For reference, my 87 wrangler is completely stock (or was before this console was installed).I initially was going to return the console but found I was going to have to pay $40 and then the seller could refuse the return or charge me a restocking fee! I've included pictures to show what had to be done to make this console usable.

Tight in a YJ
This thing is exactly what you thunk it would be, practical and tough.Only drawback to it is that its really really tight in my YJ. It fits between the seats just fine, but the seatbelts get stuck on behind the seats every time you move the passenger seat up. Then its really tricky trying to get your hands in between the space to to get the buckle back out. Im going to remove the seat belt holder strap from the side of the console and see if that helps any at all with reaching down and pulling the buckle back through.

Total garbage
Ordered one of these. Showed up with a hole through both box layers crushing the end of the unit. Looks like the UPS forklift operator had fun. Not the sellers fault there. Returned for a refund. Ordered a second one. Arrived with minimal damage. The metal below the cupholder was creased on both sides but I decided to live with it. As others reported it was missing some of the hardware. Assembled it and discovered the seat belt holders are back so far they are not usable even with the seats all the way back. Got it centered and square, marked where to drill using the 3 factory holes, removed it, and drilled the 3 holes in the tub. No access issues to where the bolts come through. A gear wrench works great for the forward bolt as it is right above the transfer case. Hand tightened the forward bolt and then heard a big pop. There is space between where the factory forward bolt hole is and the floor of the tub. When you tighten the bolt it pulls down on the bottom of the console causing the thin metal to bend. The three tiny tack welds holding it broke and the floor of the console was no longer connected to the sides. Unbelievable that this is supposed to be a security console and it has 3 tiny tack welds to hold it together. Any thief could just kick the thing and break it off the base. Also saw multiple spots where the tack welds burned through the metal leaving a hole. This is an extreme example of poor offshore garbage. Should have bought a tuffy. Now I will.

Perfect console for CJ7
Was looking at Tuffy Box and Rugged Ridge consoles for CJ7 and came across this Smittybilt console. Easy installation 3 small holes to drill. Fits nicely and the radio panel was perfect solution for installing a modern single DIN stereo.

Very nice and I've had the "other" brand that is nice, but very expensive, this one does the job.
