Victory Pocket Binoculars

I just purchased these Zeiss Victory Binoculars 1 week ago. After giving them a nice test ride I can say these are very nice! They are super bright and very sharp for 25mm lenses , and the weight is so light compared to my 8x42 binoculars. I was blown away at the quality of the view ! Use these for a lot of quick viewing and when they are around my neck I do not feel the weight at all. It is difficult to go back to my much heavier 8x42's after using these ! The quality seems very nice , I could not be happier for owning these wonderful binoculars ! Thank You Zeiss David

While this bino is not cheap, you absolutely get what you pay for. Excellent optics in a very small and light package. Despite only having 25mm objectives the images are quite bright. The eyepieces are also excellent, with a wide field of view that's sharp to the edge. Eye relief is long enough to be useful with my glasses. They also have an interesting asymmetrical folding design that makes them very compact. Perhaps the only downside is that they don't come with any lens caps, though they do come with a good carrying case. I brought these along on a vacation and enjoyed using them thoroughly.

Very small, but still high power and steady image.

I bought 4 pair of binoculars to try out looking at the birds and other nature in my backyard. 3 were 8x25; Swarovski CL Pocket, Zeiss Victory Pocket, Zeiss Terra ED and the 4th was the Nikon Monarch 7 in a 10x42. The Zeiss Terra ED had perfect clarity but was not as bright as the others. It was also harder to focus. Relatively mild criticism considering the price difference with the other 8x25 models. The Zeiss Victory Pocket and the Swarovski CL Pocket were remarkably similar. Equal clarity, equal brightness, equal ease of focus and overall use, equal ease of adjusting the diopter for the right eye, equal relative comfort of using with glasses (my preference). The Swarovski is minimally heavier, the Zeiss has a slightly wider field of view, Zeiss has a shorter close focus, the Swarovski has minimally longer eye relief. The choice between the two largely came down to individual preference for one moving eyepiece in an off-center design versus two moving eyepieces with a center focus wheel. The Nikon Monarch 7 10x42 was evaluated as it gives a bit more magnification, hopefully maintaining brightness with the 42mm objective lens. Clarity and brightness were as good as with the Zeiss Victory and the Swarovski, but not better. Focus was easy. Diopter adjustment was difficult. Eye relief was fine. Really excellent binoculars. But after using the 8x25s they just felt too heavy. Overall, I found the Zeiss Victory Pocket binoculars to be excellent. I have no significant complaints.

I was looking for a high-quality pocket glasses for nature observation and sightseeing tours. In the beginning I was thrilled with the weight and image quality and was intending to submit a review of a fully satisfied customer. Fortunately I did not have time for it. Unexpectedly the adjustment nut was fallen off. So now I feel a very deep frustration with these glasses and the producer as well. Would not recommend this product to anyone.

These are very well made and produce an image worthy of the price tag. They are compacts so don't expect full size performance but wow, they are outstanding for their size and I prefer the single hinge design.

I'm a birder and have Swarovski 8x32s that I wear with a binoculars strap harness. I've found that those binoculars get pretty heavy on long hikes, and the harness is cumbersome to manage with a daypack or backpack. So when, after an 11-mile mountain hike this summer, I came across Cornell Lab's review of "pocket binoculars," I decided to try these Zeiss Victory Pocket Binoculars. And I'm so glad I did! I leave them set at the proper width for my eyes and with the eyecups screwed out, and carry them in a small fanny back worn in front. Perfect and in a good place for a quick grab to catch bird sightings during hikes, walks, snowshoeing. Much handier for these activities than the heavy binoculars with shoulder harness! A friend has the Leica Ultravids. I had tried hers briefly a few years ago and found them a little fiddly to look through. On a recent hike, my friend and I compared the size and weight of our pocket binoculars and for a moment, I thought—oops, should have gotten the Leicas ... they were smaller and lighter, weighing 1.7 oz. less than the Zeiss. But the Zeiss have a wider field of view and more eye relief. And, as the Cornell review noted, the Leica's double-hinge design requires frequent readjustment to fit the eyes. So, all things considered, I decided to deal with the extra 1.7 oz. and stick with the Zeiss. One note: The Zeiss offset single hinge requires getting used to. Many reviewers say these are for right-handers. I'm right-handed but run the focus knob with my left hand. No problem. They work for anyone.

I’d bought Swarovski Curio originally as the field of view showed greater in specs. Pocket binos can be limited in view. The curio was sorta unusable. My buddy had the Swarovski pocket, also like looking through a keyhole so returned the Swarovski and I tried the Zeiss victory 8x25. I have 8-32 and 8x40 conquests. Not to that level of airiness in view but a def step in the right direction. Quality seems real good as well. My only concern is the neck strap could be more substantial

Very light binoculars often lack sharpness due to small lenses but Zeiss somehow managed to keep the weight down (290g) and the sharpness extremely high.

A great set of binoculars - the image quality is excellent, and they are bright. They fold up small, with well protected lenses, and come with a nice case (zip and magnetic closure). You do need to position them carefully on/near your eyes to get a good field of view. Do note: the supplier confusingly labels this both as 8x25 and 10x25. The supplied binoculars are 8x25.

great for birdwatching. very compact and lightweight. easy for people with specs. quite bright even in low light. my copy developed an issue (calibration) and it went to zeiss service. they replaced it fully within warranty. fantastic support from zeiss.
