Great product! Really helps!
I've been using this neti pot for over a year now and have to say that it really works great. My breathing is easier through my nose and my sinuses feel much more clear throughout the day. I don't feel bogged down by my allergies nearly as much. This particular neti pot is well-constructed and easy to use. I've had other neti pots that had odd angles or were made of cheap materials and were uncomfortable to use, but this one is glass and seems to have a great angle to it. Of course, being glass, it's easily broken, so that is one thing to consider. For the new Neti Pot users, a couple of things to take note of:The mixture: Using warm water with a 1/4 teaspoon of non-iodized salt is best. Obviously, cold water does not feel good and using table salt or too little/too much salt creates a horrible sensation. One time, I forgot to add salt and I sneezed all day long and my sinuses were extremely irritated. A grocery store near me sells cheap jars of salt specially for neti pots. I've also seen special oils you can add, but haven't tried them (I've also read about loss of your sense of smell from some oils, so be sure to do your research on them before using!).Actual use: Basically, the neti pot works by gently pouring a stream of water through your sinuses, so you tilt your head and pour through one nostril so the stream comes out the other. The one thing I make sure to do after each use is to blow my nose to get the excess water out and then I have a bottle of rubbing alcohol that I dab a q-tip in and run over the inside of my ear. I've found that the water from the neti pot often gets into my ear and I've even had it cause some irritation over time. Ever since I have been trying to dry the excess water up with the rubbing alcohol, there have been no problems. Of course, not everyone will have this issue. Also, if you are too clogged up, the water from the neti pot isn't going to go anywhere. It'd probably be best to take some medication to try to loosen the clog and then use the neti pot.Overall, the neti pot is a wonderful product for anyone who has trouble with allergies or their sinuses. It's not something you use as a quick fix for colds or sinus issues. Like I said before, it doesn't do anything if you are too clogged. It's great for those with constant allergies and mild congestion though. Used daily over a long period of time, it seems to have really helped me out.

Best, most hygenic easy to use
This netipot is better than most others on the market because its shape makes it easy to use and the glossy porcelain makes it easy to clean and even boil to sanitize. I know many who swear by these to aid with allergy attacks, sinus infections and keeping off colds. At the recommendation of my functional medicine doctor, I add a little xylitol when I use for sinus infections. It works so well to clear things up. I use regularly when I've been doing dusty or dirty cleaning projects also and it reduces the amount of congestion I experience from that. I gave less than five stars as a travel item because of it being bulky, potentially fragile, and heavier than plastic versions. My husband successfully traveled with it to and from Hawaii, though.

Best Neti Pot on the market
If you have allergies or want to avoid catching other people's cold or flu, then this neti pot is the best one on the market because of its shape and material its made of. The shape fits perfectly over your nostril so that you can flush your nose and sinuses. It's easy to hand wash after every use. This is the one I think that was demonstrated on Oprah by Dr. Oz. At least it looks just like it. Ever since I started using this neti pot, I have not caught any colds or flu despite being around sickly people. I have given several of these to friends and family and they are now as devoted to the neti pot as I am.Most people give up too easily or don't know how to properly use the neti pot. Check out videos on youtube to see how to use one properly. You need to tilt your head to the side and use warm water with a pinch of salt. Also, when you first start your sinuses may be blocked up. Don't give up. Many times during the year, my sinuses are blocked. I use it every night no matter what. Even though it may not drain on one side, you will find that 10 minutes after using the neti pot, that your sinuses will clear up. Germs generally invade when your nasal passages become dried out. So doing this once a day, helps keep your sinuses moist so they can trap the germs. Lastly, germs actually take hours to penetrate our natural defenses. This is why flushing your sinuses once a day helps keep you healthy all year round.

Sinus relief
I've not gotten into using the neti pot on a daily basis, but have found it useful to clean out the gunk on those days that I feel clogged. The saline creates a slight tingling sensation that I find refreshing and seems to last throughout the day. This design is comfortable and easy to use, though I haven't used any others to say how it fares in comparison. It does take some trial and error to get the correct positioning and if the water temp or amount of salt is off, there is that burning sensation but it is not so bad. As another reviewer mentioned it is very helpful to warm up the pot first by filling and rinsing with hot water. And I'd skip the special salt packets and just get some kosher salt from the grocery store. I picked up a container for a buck that says it has 525 1/4 tsp servings, so even with daily use that would last almost a year and a half. I'd also recommend only using when you are going to be upright for at least an hour (not right before bed) to give any water which might remain a chance to drain rather than collecting in nasal passages/eustachian tubes.Even non-drowsy formula sinus/allergy meds seem to affect me, so I'm very grateful to have discovered this natural (and CHEAP) form of relief!

Questionable salt packet
While the neti pot is fine (I have a similar one purchased several years ago), it came with an about a 2 oz packet of salt. This purchase comes with one singular very small packet that was hastily shoved into the packaging. It appears to belong to a larger set of salt packs that usually appear with a sign saying "should not be sold separately." For something that is going into your body, I question the quality of the item as it is not in its original packaging. I would not use this due to safety concerns.
