Good reference but in reality it's just easier to use a site that cracks the password as they have more computing power then a typical user.

Good reference/ cheatsheet book. Good book for info sec people to have in thier collection.

Excellent Reference Guide
A great companion to RTFM or BTFM. The book focuses on password cracking and serves as a hard copy reference for several useful tools and techniques. You may want to check out RTFM or BTFM as a first introduction to this type of reference material. If you find them to be useful, this is a great next step.

Covers all the introduction hash cracking info
This is a wonderful introduction reference guide for getting into hash cracking. I recommend it highly. It has it has a tables of all the hash Algos and their time to crack.
