I used these to make some custom video connectors. It works great, I will point out the terminals are a little smaller than normal so if you need to run multiple wires into a single terminal, or use very thick wire, it might be difficult.It also has a empty area to solder in pin headers for additional test points which is a pretty nice feature.Overall this was an easy way to quickly make a custom D-sub cable without fiddling with crimping pins and inserting them into the shells. There's no strain relief in this kind of arrangement but if that is OK for your use case, I'd say it was pretty handy.

These are great. I use them for my milling machine controller stepper driver outputs. I mounted them in an expansion slot using a DB9 expansion slot. The terminals are easy to wire quickly and seem to handle pretty good amperage.

Holes are too small to fit most wire gauges.
