Allows you to enjoy riding lots more.
I bought the two pack Pro because I really wasn’t sure what I’d like for my bike. I ride a stock Indian Roadmaster so it’s not a loud VTwin. I wear an LS2 Advant II helmet. I absolutely love these ear plugs. They are easy to put in, they don’t try to pop out when I put my helmet on or take it off, and they reduce noise tremendously. When you first wear them you’ll think they aren’t doing much but you’ll find that you can hear your music at a lower volume and hear your pipes with minimal wind noise. Also, I’ve always hated wearing ear plugs, but after a few rides you forget they are there. For highway I wear the reds and around town the blacks although they both work great in either scenario. If my wife is a passenger she also likes them because she is above the wind screen or I’m not blocking wind if she’s looking around. They allow her to hear the pipes or the music too. She also likes the fact that it doesn’t take me a week for my hearing to recover after long rides. Last week, I was sold after a 2 hour highway ride with truck and car traffic, buffeting wind at various times, and I got home with no ear fatigue.

Helps a lot with wind noise but still able to hear intercom
I like these earplugs a lot. I’ve always used the foam type but two issues made me try something different; 1 the foam plugs can be time consuming to insert correctly, and 2 they block everything so I can’t hear my helmet speakers. The Alpine earplugs do a pretty good job of cutting wind noise, but still allow me to hear music in the background and make a phone call if necessary. They don’t hurt my ears, are easy to insert and remove, and the center stems don’t stick out and rub against my helmet lining. I use the “tour” type and they work well for me. I did notice I can hear the helmet speakers better in my Shoei helmet than my older Bell Star. The Bell has ton of vents and is not known as a quiet helmet, so no surprise there. I was impressed with the Alpine MotoSafe plugs enough that I ordered a second pair for backup and/or passenger use. I accidentally ordered the “race” type but I haven’t tried them yet to see how different they are. My daughter wore them for several hours on a ride with me and had no complaints. She could still hear her music and talk to me via bluetooth intercom. When I originally bought these, I also ordered a pair of Earos to try at the same time. They seemed to be good quality, and I tried them for a few minutes, but the Alpines just fit and worked better for me, so I returned the Earos. Someone else might have a different experience, everyone’s ears are different. I just rode about 4 hours today with the Alpine tour earplugs, no issues. Bike= 2001 Yamaha FZ1 with stock windscreen, Helmet= Shoei RF-SR Keep in mind these do not block as much sound as properly inserted foam earplugs. For <$20 though, they are worth a try.

Choose wisely, good quality.
I don't like to give less than optimal ratings but these didn't really perform how I thought they would. They absolutely do cut down on noise while allowing you to hear, and they're very comfortable! The little case they come is is very nice also. I have a Honda Cb500x with a moderately noisy exhaust, and without earplugs, the noise is not bad inside of your helmet. With these earplugs however the exhaust noise becomes almost unbearable inside my helmet, it feels much louder than it actually is. I'm not sure if it's my helmet or something else, but because of my exhaust these are unusable both the red and black models. All of that said, they do have a plus! I wore them to a fairly heavy music concert and they did excellent! The decibels were definitely reduced to a comfortable level, and sound was still pretty clear- much better than foam earplugs! As far as motorcycling goes I can't necessarily recommend them, but they're still worth having around, especially if you have a quiet bike!

Nicest earplugs I've used
I bought these after losing my previous set of earplugs, Surefire EP4s. Wearing the Race model under a Bell Star DLX (not the race star) on a CBR600. Turns out this helmet is made for more of a touring than sport riding position according to Bell so the wind noise is a bit louder. First off these are the most comfortable earplugs I have ever worn and the first set that have stayed in place for more than an hour or hour and a half. Cheap foam plugs seem to work their way out of my ears after 30 minutes, and the EP4s would last maybe an hour and a half before they were starting to work their way out. Also the EP4s would press on my ears just enough that they were getting a bit sore by that time anyways. I wore these for a 3-1/2 hour round trip this weekend and they stayed snug in my ears the entire time, and are comfortable enough that I could pretty much forget they were there at all. So, I absolutely love the comfort on these and if I ever lose them I'll buy another pair on that fact alone. Also great is they filter just the right amount of noise for riding. Foams and even Surefires with the caps open filter a lot of noise out, great for protection but more than needed in my opinion. My helmet is quite loud at highway speeds, and these still cut out almost all of the wind noise but when I pull up to a light or just stop to talk I can still hear people well enough to talk. I couldn't really do that with the EP4s or especially foams. I haven't tried every earplug available, but these are definitely my new favorite and I don't believe I need to try anything else now. The little insertion tool is a nice addition too, makes getting them in super quick and easy.

Good fit and quiet
Works great. Using the applicator makes sure the earplugs stay deep in the ear canal. I’ve had trouble with other ear plugs loosening because my helmet would slightly touch protruding earplugs when I put a helmet on. This sits deeper and does not fall out easy. Stayed put in 5-6 hour riding sessions. Quiets everything enough, but can still hear my exhaust, cardo, etc.

Order these today!
Just got these and used them on 1 long ride so far. The ride was just over 100 miles. What an incredible difference these made in noise. They are super comfortable in your ears. No issues while putting on or removing my helmet either! I was able to have conversations at stop lights as well as at little breaks throughout the ride. If you have issues with wind noise and your ears screaming at you after a ride, I recommend these 100%!!! I didn't try to listen to music due to riding with other people. I suspect that that will be just as clear as the conversations though. i wish i would have gotten these sooner! Great product and I HIGHLY recommend!

Awkward but works great
I originally hated these. After messing with them and using the insert tool I have to say, these block the perfect amount of “bad” sound and yet crystal clear audio/music from my Sena. I do wish they had a size option, and better way to remove them. The awkwardness of having to use the tool and the not so easy removal is worth it if you value sound quality.

Hearing protection that does what it advertises
The 20db plugs work! I have tried the generic foam ear plugs, nonoise, and eargasm, and these Alpine plugs definitely make a noticeable reduction in wind noise on my Ducati Diavel Strada. I haven't tried the 17db units yet but I like having more silence and I'm willing to bet these would be about the same as the other ear plugs I've tried. I definitely recommend them for good hearing protection and if they need replacing these 20db units are what I'll purchase. The carrying case is pretty but quite unrealistic for motorcyclists -- it's too large and basically requires to be stored in a pocket. I actually use my nonoise cylinder to carry my Alpines as that can be easily attached to my main zipper or a pocket zipper. The ear plugs fit in it perfectly. So for being marketed for motorcyclists in a case that was clearly not designed by a motorcycle rider. I don't ride with music playing and certainly don't wish to be distracted by talking on a smart phone so I cannot comment on how effective they are with external comms. I have slightly smaller ear canals and they fit fine. No discomfort at all, even under a snug Arai helmet. If they got rid of the ear plug cleaner (just use rubbing alcohol) that doesn't even fit in the carrying case, the packaging plastic tray, and used a smaller and more practical carrying case then the cost could be dropped. Right now I think it is a bit spendy for what one gets, even accounting for two different pairs of protection. I've read the reviews on durability so we'll see how that goes. So far so good! One star deducted due to higher cost and because the carrying case totally missed the motorcycle usage mark.

Amazing product.
I bought these to replace the ones I lost. I have been using these products for a while now 1.5yrs. They reduce wind noise effective and still able to hear imporant noises/sounds on the road e.g. ambulance/police sirens, care horns and other noises on the road. I am able to hear people speak enough to have a conversation with. I highly recommond these. I would buy the pack that come with two types (red and black ear plug).
