It's beautiful, easy to install, perfect size and doesn't affect the doorbell sound.

For the price the quality was poor. Fell down 2x then fell apart. Sadly had to return. Not worth almost 40.

Our old doorbell box is made of a beige-yellow plastic speckled with old bits of paint.So I didn't even have to 'install' this box, it literally just fits over the top of the old doorbell plastic and hides it from view. Normally, I would use a couple of double sided tape strips to keep it from moving around, but, I am hoping to wallpaper this wall soon and I would just have to remove it and this way I can just lift it off when I want.The inside of the box is lined with black, semi opage fabric, it blocks you from viewing whatever is being covered by the decorative filagre.I am not super enthusiastic about the gold, it looks like one of the bakery doilies that come with cakes, but if you try to paint this you run the risk of paint getting onto the fabric liner. So your only choice to paint this is black, which is okay with me, but for some having a black, decorative box on your wall isn't much of an option.Sturdiness - it is made of some kind of thick smooth cardboard or maybe some sort of craft wood, I really can't tell. But it is solidly made while being relatively lightweight.

My husband hated the doorbell chime. We do t use it because we have a rin doorbell so I got this instead of him taking the entire thing out and having to patch the wall. It's so pretty, light weight, and stays in place.
