JUMBO SUNFLOWER SEEDS Sunflower Seeds, Salt and Pepper, 5-Ounce (Pack of 12)

Where to begin.... I don't know what happened between the product others got and what I got but their reviews are way off from what I've experienced. To be clear I am reviewing the salt and pepper seeds, some of these other reviews are talking about low sodium. These are in no way low sodium. I don't like the David brand seeds because I find them to salty, compared to these those are salt free. The first bag I consumed had quite a mound of salt/powder left in the bad. I'd never seen so much in a single bag. I really should have taken a picture. It's a shame I live in the south, otherwise I could use the remaining bags to de-ice my sidewalk or the whole neighborhood during winter.Enough about the higher levels of salt, lets move on to the size. These are after all called jumbo. The shells are pretty big, I guess they qualify as jumbo....but the seeds inside are in no way jumbo. At most they're regular, and not like 10% probably 100% were of no extraordinary size.Finally down to the most important detail, the seed itself. The first bag was horrible, they were brittle and powdery. It was almost like they were wet and rotted before they were layered with obscene amounts of salt. Hey maybe it's just a bad bag I thought to myself. 2 bags later and still the same poor quality seed. Most were not firm or crisp.This review isn't based on a single bag, no I'm an avid consumer of seeds so I went and bought a 12 pack of 5oz bags. How bad can someone mess up sunflower seeds....well apparently they can and pretty bad. I suffered through 3 bags to eliminate the possibility of a bad bag, perhaps they had a bad batch or they're just all bad. I'll never know I won't buy Jumbo's every again. I finally broke down and went and bought a bag of Bigs and boy was that a tremendous difference in taste and quality. I've purchased SPtiz and those were mountains better than these. Heck even the 2 for a buck Lance packages are way better than these.

Well I'm going to give this one more try simply because I love these seeds. But if I get another batch like the last one.... I'm going to loose it! When fresh, these are hands down the best tasting sunflower seeds I've ever tasted. But that last batch had to be sitting around just waiting for a sucker.... I mean a buyer. Don't let me down.... PLEASE!

I eat alot of different sunflower seeds and these are the best. Not alot of sodium and tastes great

I thought low sodium David seeds were good but these are so much better. They have less sodium and a fantastic pepper kick to mix up the boredom of regular seeds. I highly reccomend them!

Great flavor- nice and crisp. Sunflower seeds are one of my best diet helpers. I can eat these for hours while watching tv (instead of popcorn or chips) and not gain a lb!

I love the taste. They are not to salty like many sunflower seeds but yes they are spicy.
