How I Made $1,000,000 Trading Commodities Last Year

The book is all right, although I had more expectations. The information intensity is not high. It s a simple book and also not that much pages. So if you read it with a lot of expectations you won't be satisfied. Especially the begining is very very simple but after you read the half of the book, in my opinion, it gets interesting because then you get a couple of odd information which you won't be expecting, and you get also very good and simple but profound psychological info that you may use to succeed in your way in the commodity/stock market. Further, the fact that the book and the information in it is so easy and simple in combination with the fact that the author is one of the experts give a good feeling about making money in commodity/stock market. So it makes you believe that making money is actually about having a simple but solid plan and following your plan (plan your trade and trade your plan). Personally,I think, that the book is relatively expensive, for the content. Actually all of the books of the author mr. Larry R. Williams, are relatively expensive, and because of that, although I always buy more books of an author, I won't buy another book of mr. Williams. Although nowadays a million is not that much, compare to 70's when the author has made that much money, the title will still attract people. But if you buy it to see how the process of making that much money was going, you would be disappointed because the author doesn't talk about it, for that you should buy the classic book of Nicolas Darvas, How I made 2,000,000 $ in the stock market, and his another book, "you can still make it in the market". As a matter of fact, I don't know how much money mr. Williams has used to make that million Dollars, because it would be nice to see how he make a 100 000 $, for instance, to a million dollar and not how he make 700 000 to a million, anyway. For trading and trading plans, "Diary of a professional commodity trader", is what I would prefer and it costs the half of this book. For commodities itself, however, this book "How I made one million .."of mr. Williams is okay. For more technical analysis, you should find another books! Best wishes, Houtan

I have just read a gem of a book, timeless strategies and secrets. I ordered for delivery to UK didn’t know it was available on UK Amazon but it is, like Larry’s other amazing books that I have on my reading list (there is a lot of wisdom to be learned too from Larry, advice for younger traders). I learned about things that I would never have thought existed, how we really are following cycles of psychology, emotions and the moon believe it or not!

Everything in this book still works. The cot info is still valid. It teaches you to watch spreads also, which is more gold. Then the technical setups… 10 week MA for the trend + pullback on the %R is absolutely all you need to build your fortune. You can use that setup on stocks, forex, and of course futures. You can also watch spreads on everything from commodity futures to currency and index futures. If you only read one trading book your whole life, this is the one to read. If they had taught you everything in this book instead of anything else for the whole time you were in school, you would already be rich. This is all you need. The book is not expensive, the book is extremely cheap and should cost about 1000 times more.

If you plan to trade futures, this is a good book to read. It is old, but I found the concepts very informative. But, don't try to verify any of the sources cited, they don't exist on the internet. This book was published in the 1970's when everything was snail mail.

I've studied Larry Williams for many years. I ultimately believe that his earlier writings are his most honest and useful ones: This book is him giving you what you need to succeed. Later LW writings seem to be giving you what the publishing industry and it's customers are interested in, and not what made Larry become a teacher in the first place. This is my favorite LW book. I have had trading success with ideas from this book.

The book is lot more than a technical... It shows you how you can understand the fundamental structure of the market by reading chart. It emphasize on the fact that it is institutional trading activities which drive the market so you should have an idea about what commercial are doing......the book contain objective rules which is possible to apply easily in the market with little effort..... Great book, I loving it....

BEST BOOK FOR TRADING YOU WILL EVER FIND

Información y datos desde los años 1973-1979. Gráficos anticuados y todo muy desfasado. No saqué nada de provecho excepto algún consejo psicológico y manejos del riesgo. Escuché sobre este libro en un podcast sobre trading y por eso lo compré... Aunque ahora me arrepiento, sobre todo por el precio: una burrada por lo poco que se le puede sacar en provecho.

かのラリー・ウィリアムズの初期の本で、１９７９年発刊です。本では、Open Interestなど日本の市場環境ではほとんど情報の手に入ら ないものを重宝していますし、Full Moon や New Moon などをシグナルとして使用するなどコンセプトとして疑問なものも含まれています。確かに、アメリカでトレードを行う者にとってOpen Interest の利用して のトレードは有益な情報でしょうが、情報の少ない日本でトレードするならばほとんど利用できないでしょう。ラリー・ウィリアムズの本にしてはこの本は、Back Testingに欠けるところが多く、他の著作がとても素晴らしいものであるため、この本は精彩を欠くと言わざるを得ません。残念です。
