This works so much better than the name brand one! The name brand one I have was just to small and definitely overpriced, this bigger size is perfect and not overly expensive and operates just as well if not better than the "bug" brand. I was especially impressed with how it worked transfering an overly large design I created for an 18 inch wood blank for a door welcome sign I did. I worked it all up with dtf film and powder as if to put on a tee shirt but transferred to wood so I could "woodburn" it. This way was much easier than doing transfer by hand with carbon or tracing paper. With never using this heat press before, I wanted to experiment with the temps on the wood and dtf film. First time out I had set the temp the same as I used on my "other" heat press and melted the film to a spare piece of wood I had lol The "bug" brand heat press needed to be set at a higher temp than the dtf instructions suggested but this heat press worked perfectly when set to the suggested dtf temp. I am extremely happy with this heat press.

Perfect for making different things! This was my second one I purchased because my friend decided she wanted mine so I just got another one! Has lasted a while, perfect for this price! All you do is plug it up, use the buttons to set to what heat level you need and go! So easy! I personally use parchment paper to protect the press and the pressing product! Perfect for cricut crafting!

Perfect size for the Disc fans. We used this to sublimate our design on them and it helped to minize shrinkage of the discs. Light weight and was perfect for the project I was doing.

I wanted to make some wood puzzles for my Daughter and Granddaughter to give to their young students as Christmas gifts. I chose this product, in part, due to good reviews. I wanted a small press to apply heat transfer paper to wood. As with everything, there is a learning curve. I printed 4 pics on a 8 1/2 by 11 sheet (Canon printer settings: Photo Paper - High quality). I was impressed with the quality of the prints. I cut them out as shown in attached photo. I was adhering them on a 5x7 piece of 1/4" cabinet grade plywood (it has a beautiful and super smooth good side). I peeled the THIN (vinyl?) from the backing and laid it down on my wood. I set the temp to 335 degrees F and pressed, as directed, the snowman for 20 seconds. I observed some small wrinkling on the final image. I determined the wrinkling was due to shrinkage from the heat. I reset the temp to 325 degrees and left the timing at 20 seconds. Finished product looks beautiful. Caution: The transfer can be scratched, even by your fingernail. I am very pleased with this product. From my experience, if I purchase something to make the job simpler and easier, I will have a better final product and will be much mire likely to continue to use it. I like the fact that I can set the temp (in 5 degree F increments, and can set the press timing in 1 second increments). I am glad I chose this item for my project!

Heats up quickly and with the temp and time readouts makes using easy. I have an auto press that I use for tees, but this hand held press is so simple and easy. Subbing jewelry and such is perfect. Don't think I'll need to but would order again in a heart beat.

I used it a few times, then the temperature controller stopped working, and the temperature kept going up and down randomly. Eventually, it overheated and started burning down, releasing a lot of smoke. This product is dangerous and a waste of money!
