Amazing for 3 year old
My 3 year old loves planets and he’s obsessed with this he got for Christmas. It’s such a good idea and so interactive for him and he sits for hours taking them in and out and putting the names on them all

Absolutely magnificent!
I got this for my daughter to get to know our solar system! She absolutely loves it! She likes putting the planets together with their name tags, she finds it incredibly fulfilling when she manages to put each planet where it belongs (ie matching planet to slot on globe) and she also learns the order of the planetary system relative to the Sun!Now, if only this thing could glow in the dark! Oh, but hold on, it does!!!

Educational but pricey
The media could not be loaded. Educational globe which helps the kids to learn to solar system.Made from hard plastic seems durable and well made.Every single piece has its own place so they cannot be mixed or put in another place- this helps the child to learn the right order of the planets. My kid loves the fact that is glowing in the dark -in my opinion this is the most interesting part about it.Overall this is a nice globe which enhance kids intelligence and fine motors skills ,however is a bit pricey for what it does, I would have pay this price if it was motorised or something like that.

Great learning activity
The media could not be loaded. So when I first opened this I did not tell my kids how to use it. They slowly figured out that each planet had its own shape and corresponding shape on the globe. They also noticed that the words matched the colour of the plant. (there are different shades of the same colour so they'll need to pay attention) it's Brough several hours of fun. They do it each and it lives on side table in livingroom. Every so often one of them will come and start talking about the planets, sizes, colours and ask why they are different. It is a good way to get kids to learn and ask questions. We are very happy with this learning toy. It isn't too heavy either. The only downside is the little star stickers are already peeling away. Glow in the dark would of been an incredible addition to it but sadly it does not have it.The stars do not affect the planets or the purpose of the toy itself so I couldn't knock any stars off.

Good for geek parents to secretly teach their kids
It’s all very well made and feels good quality. I got it for my daughter who has just turned three and she has really taken to it. I’m a space fan and it was my chance to inject some for my daughter and after a couple of weeks she has used it maybe a dozen times and finished all of it as well and can now name most of the planets when questioned. The planets all have different shaped holes to go in so they only fit in their own space and there are separate labels for each planet and the sun as well although these all have the same curved shape so they fit in all of them and as she can’t read yet need some help with those, it’s a good chance to learnt the names. There is also an astronaut and a rocket that fit into the centre of the name badge hole so they can land on each planet. There is some accuracy as well with the planets all in the correct order and the sizing tries to show the differences in a subtle way which is impossible to do really with the vast differences. When it’s finished my daughter likes to keep it in her shelf as a globe and will spin it and tell us that’s where we live pointing to earth. It’s not cheap but it’s a good learning tool and it’s gone down well in our house.

Planetarium Puzzle Play
This rotating globe map of our Solar System looks to be a fun and entertaining way for young children to learn the names and the sequence of planets, topped by a large representation of the Sun.It seems well-made and fairly sturdy - although in my experience very little is 100% childproof - and consists of the rotating space globe, push-in planets and two small figures for the base; an astronaut and a rocketship. The planets have bright colours and anyone familiar with them will probably be able to identify most by sight and size (they are not to scale but still manage show which planets are larger and which are smaller). Each planet fits into its own hole, these being different shaped. You will need to ensure they are right side up in order that the planet labels can be inserted the right way up. These planet labels can fit any of the planets, so this is where the real learning comes in.I'm always in favour of activity toys that encourage genuine learning, and I think this incorporate learning and play well, in a well-made toy.

Learm about the Solar System.
Quite a large educational toy. Despite being that, an educational toy, children will love yo play with it and forget that they're learning. It comes in a large, branded box. The toy is a large sphere made out of plastic. Different bits xan get attached to this. These pieces are in different colours and have the names of the planets on the Solar System. Children will quickly and easily learn the names of the planets with this toy. When the lights turn off, the toy becomes glow in the dark which looks great.I do find this toy to be a tad expensive but will definitely be a success in teaching young children about the planets.

Nice toy to start learning about our solar system
Learning Resources Solar System Puzzle Globe is £36 at the time of this review. The set includes a spinning globe with 8 planets and sun pieces along with 9 associated labels to pin on the globe. There are also an astronaut and spaceship to place on the base. The pieces have different peg hole shapes to create some challenge.Once created, the toy offers glow in the dark star constellations in addition to the astronaut. The toy is targeted at age 3 onwards. I’d say age 3-5 seems right. Although the booklet contains information the toy doesn't quite have the planets in order due to its size, so for an older child you'd probably want something a bit more advanced so they can place the planets in order etc.For starter knowledge about planets along with the challenge of placing the pieces, this is a nice toy.
