There is a slight texture with a good tooth. It is not smooth like filler paper or copy paper.

Good sketchbook.

Picked this up on a whim on Prime Day and it's been a great sketchbook to me these past few months. Really quality paper. Good texture and impressive stock. I had an accident when I was refilling a pen and spilled a refills worth of ink onto the sketchbook and to my amazement other than a little that spilled over the edge there was no bleed through on the following pages. Will be purchasing more when I fill these up.

Impressive brand

I am impressed with Castle Art sketchbook. I am glad I chose this brand after looking at several brands. I bought it for my son who loves to draw. This is indeed a premium quality paper and also the spiral coil binding is sturdy. I also love the glossy cover. It’s worth the money spent.

Sketch Books 2 pack 9in by 12 in.

I bought these for my 13 yr old grandson who is quite a good artist and gets a lot of use out of them. He said they were really nice quality paper and that he would definitely use them a lot. He was very pleased with them as a Christmas gift. Great value for the price.

Decent for newby

My first sketch books so I'm not sure how well they compare to others but I like them. The paper is rougher than printer paper I'm used to drawing on. That's supposed to be a good thing(toothy). The paper is perforated just in case I want to remove pages. The paper holds up well when earasing. Sakura Pigma ink does not bleed through when doing outlines so I suppose the paper is thick enough. I do however have pages that curl upward from where my arm sweat has added extra moisture. The pages are big and so my arm rests on the edge of the paper and thus getting this undesired result. Wax pencils show up well on the pages.
