Cute and Useful
I pretty much have the whole Nessie family and I couldn't get enough of them. I'll consolidate my review of all the items in this one.The colander spoon is a neat idea. It does the job of straining pasta, fruits, and vegetables from water. It is sturdy and durable. The only thing I advise for this utensil is to keep it on fruits, pasta, and vegetables only. I wouldn't advise using it on stew as the spoon may discolor (especially for the lighter colored versions). The soup ladle is also a good one. I have read the other reviews about it not standing on its own, but from doing a quick test with large tomatoes in water, it just needs to be weighed down by something heavy to make it stand up in the pot. I don't really mind it not standing up if the contents are loose. It still does the job. I got the reddish-purple version as I would mostly likely be working with actual stew or curry with this one. It may discolor, but that won't discourage me too much since it's a darker color. The pasta fork is the third utensil I got. It stands up and grabs the pasta, which is what it's supposed to do. Papa Nessie does his job of getting my pasta into my plate. The Miss Nessie egg cup is durable and cute also. I've never had soft boiled egg in an egg cup before so this will be an interesting experience. I may also use it for small toppings/condiments with my other food.My favorite Nessie gadget would have to be the tea infuser. It's one of the "babies" in the family. I absolutely love that thing. My first tea infuser was also a dinosaur one, but it had worn out over time so I needed a new one. This one is sturdier, more vibrant, and more adorable than the last one. It just looks like it's taking a hot bath! Now, there have been times where bits of loose leaf tea have floated up from the infuser due to the leaves being smaller than the holes. I've had that experience many times before and don't pay any mind to it. The infuser does the job and for making tea, I am more than satisfied with it.The sugar spoon is another one of the "babies" of the Nessie family in my eyes. It's durable, it's shiny, and great for scooping sugar, or putting in honey or spices in drinks. A great partner to my Nessie tea infuser. Finally, I got the Nessie bookmark, the last "baby" in the family. That one is a cute idea, but it does have one disadvantage. Every time I open my book, the bookmark would fall out. Sometimes, I would even lose my spot in the book. Just be sure to hold onto both the bookmark and the book when you open it otherwise the bookmark will fall out.The Nessie family is worth it. This shop is definitely recommended. Will shop here again in the future.

Extremely cute and useful
Stands up great. Can be in a hot pot without melting. And it's the cutest freaking thing I have ever seen it's like a little dinosaur hanging out in my biscuits and gravy

Very cute ladle! Bought as a gift for my gf and she loves it and it always gets fun comments when people visit! Better in thick soups as sometimes he’ll tip over lol

I ordered 3 different colors and only got one real Ototo Nessie. The other 2 were knockoffs
I ordered 3 different colors. One teal and it's the only real one I got. The other two, the red and green were not real. I submitted photos showing the differences between them. The Teal (only real one I got) Nessie is nice and a quality product. You can tell it sets better and feels like what I expected. The Green one did not come with a product board, it was simply in a plastic bag. The Green one wasn't that bad it is a little more top heavy and is much easier to tip over, but overall not that bad. The Red one came with a product board, but it was single ply and was missing information that was on the real product board. the red one had flashing in the eye and dips in the on the inside where the legs are. There is some discoloration at spots on it. It is the flimsiest of the 3 and the easiest to tell that it wasn't a real Ototo Nessie. After saying all of that. All 3 are usable and the average person most likely wouldn't notice the difference, except the red one, but even it is still usable. Again I added photos.

LoI’m is great after years
I’ve had this ladle for several years and it looks good as new. I don’t use it all that often, but at least monthly. Highly recommended.

Textbook example of form over function
Aesthetically - no question the Nessie ladle is a joy to behold. The idea is cute, the berry-red color looks great and the contrasting rough/glossy surface treatment on the outside & inside surfaces is smart. Unfortunately, that's about where the fun ends. One of the big selling points of this ladle is that you're supposed to be able to simply stand it on the kitchen counter until your soup is ready to serve. This would have been very easy to achieve using the following basic design techniques: (1) Thicken the plastic toward the bottom of the bowl to make the ladle more bottom-heavy, (2) position Nessie's front legs further out where the neck/handle is to account for the extra weight on that side of the ladle, or (3) both of the above, for even better stability. It's evident that none of these techniques were applied here. Instead, all 4 legs are evenly arranged around the center of the bowl, and the plastic is of the same thickness almost everywhere except the legs themselves, offsetting the center of mass so much that even the slightest tap will knock the ladle right over. The only way it wouldn't happen is if you stand it on the counter while full of soup, but why would anyone do that...Also, the plastic itself is so thin that the handle actually flexes under the load of its own contents - not only affecting long-term durability, but making the whole thing feel flimsy right from the start. Worst of all, since the handle is increasingly concave on one side to blend into the hollow form of the head and offer a half-hearted attempt at rigidity where it's least important, the ergonomics are terrible in exactly the place you'd instinctively want to grip it, never being quite comfortable enough to hold.No choice but to return this. Pity that such a cool-looking product is so poorly thought out. 5 stars for appearance, 1 for execution.
