When I saw this kit, I thought it was too good to be true, but the quality is surprisingly good. The hoops are solid and aren't flimsy, it comes with a lot of thread for a beginner to be able to start and complete a full project, it comes with decent quality aida fabric, the needles and blades on the seam ripper and scissors work very well, and the carrying case is super convenient if you will be traveling with any embroidery or cross stitch materials. The set would make for a great gift as it comes with everything but a pattern to begin a project.

All you need to start! Incredible value for money. The only down side is that the colors are not coded so you cant follow patterns, you have to guess the colors

Just how I thought good quality 💯

This is a great starter kit. When I was a kid, my mom made me and my brothers try cross-stitching, and I always remembered it fondly. Now that I'm an adult, I wanted to try it again on my own terms. This kit is very robust. It includes hoops in several (4 or 5?) different sizes, ranging from "normal small-ish" to "real frickin' big". The hoops seem to be high quality (easy to loosen to add fabric, but solid and unmoving when the fabric is seated). It includes LOTS of needles. It also includes several needle threading tools, which is very convenient. There's also some basic instructions. There is also quite a stash of AIDA fabric, as well as 50 different colored threads. It also includes several (not 50) high quality, plastic floss holder things. I only have two minor complaints: 1) The threads are not labeled with what color they are. This may not seem like a big deal, but when you have 3 different colors of orange and 8 different colors of red and you're trying to follow a pattern that calls for specific colors, it makes it a little difficult to know that you're picking the right one. 2) There are few-to-none gray colors. The project that I decided to start with called for about 6 different grays (to be honest, if I had had just one or two I could have faked it/adapted), but this kit included exactly 0. Or possibly one, but it was almost a purplish-gray color. Fortunately, there's a Joann's like a mile from my house, and the colors I needed were only $.56 a piece there. (Wal-mart also has a selection of colors, apparently, for $.43, but their range of colors is nowhere near as large as Joann's, so it wasn't worth saving 13 cents). All in all, I would recommend this product, and I won't buy it again (because I won't need to)!

I just embroidering, but have been knitting for years. This is a really good little kit if your not sure whether or not you are going to stick with embroidering. I will say that I quickly upgraded, because I decided I love embroidering. After upgrading, I find the floss to be a little splitty and it does tangle easily. Also the bamboo hoops are okay, but the plastic hoops are much more secure, and keep the fabric snugger. BUT overall, you really can't beat the price. Yes, it's annoying that you can't match thread, I get it, but if your matching thread it probably means you've outgrown this kit. One very happy note I have is that the floss doesn't bleed when washed.

This is an excellent starter kit, and I honestly think there's more in it than needed. I had just learned to cross stitch with a little starter project I brought from a brick and mortar and I found a lot of improvement here; for instance the (many)needles are better and easier to hold onto, and it came with 4 needle threaders. I had worked with the little wire ones before in sewing, but I had never seen a needle threader "knife" device (I don't know the official name) and found it really cool. I like that it all came in a zipper pouch, which makes it easier to stay organized. You'd pay this much at a store just for the hoops so it's a good deal.

The product is pretty decent and I like the fact it came with so many items for beginners. However, the hoop is really hard to manage and feels like it can break really easily (so keep that in mind). I decided last month that I no longer needed the item and decided to return, its almost been a month and I have yet to get my refund so that's why I'm only giving it 3 stars, the product is okay but the customer service....

This was a great buy. It started something I didn’t even think I would be into. Got this for a gift for a friend and figured I’d pick one up to do with her and I’m in love. These hoops were super helpful to start and all the string. Wish the string had the color numbers but when I started I had no idea I would need to know that. The bag was super helpful to keep this tidy and together. And the scissors are still some I use to this day since I bought this last year. If your starting out or want a new hobby for you and your bestie this is definitely a great way to start. The fabric is weird but perfect to begin with and learn.

I love it - I ordered it to learn something new. It's my new hobby now. Great for beginners. Has all colours to get you started. Has variety of tools to use too. The quality is great!

Floss feels like DMC quality. Snippers work well. I even like the thimble better than any other I’ve used being open. The hoops seem to work alright, not the best hoops I’ve used as they don’t seem to be able to keep the Aida cloth taut for long. Excellent kit for the price.

The kit is super complete, and comes with a lot of materials to start with.
