Who Owned My "Brand New" Computer Before Me?
I purchased a DELL XPS 13 Plus from TEKShop on the 2nd of January 2024 for £1,399.99, expecting a brand-new computer with a full warranty. Initially, the device worked well and I was very happy with it.However, in December 2024, the screen turned black and suddenly stopped working. When I brought it to a repair shop, they refused to work on it until I confirmed the warranty status. To my shock, Dell informed me that the warranty had started on March 24th 2023 long before I even purchased the device, and expired on June24th 2024.Even more troubling, the technician discovered that the computer had previously been opened and worked on, as evidenced by a missing screw on the back and badly worn screws on the inside. This strongly suggests that TEKShop sold me a reconditioned or second-hand computer while advertising it as new. This raises serious concerns:1. Warranty Issues: Who owned this computer between March 2023 (when the warranty began) and January 2024 (when I bought it)?2. Misrepresentation: Was this computer reconditioned or used before being sold to me as new? While I loved the Dell XPS 13 Plus while it worked, this experience has left me feeling deceived and frustrated. If TEKShop is selling refurbished or pre-owned products, they should be transparent about it.I cannot recommend TEKShop to anyone based on this experience.

Don’t buy this please
This laptop is genuinely so terrible and the worst grand I ever spent in my life. I bought this February 2023 and looking at the specs, I was initially impressed by it, until I started expecting several issues once I got to use it more. The speakers kept malfunctioning and simply not working so a lot of the time I had to resort to AirPods. The touchpad seems shoddily manufactured as it keeps clicking on its own and also doesn’t respond to finger movements sometimes. This makes it beyond frustrating whenever the mouse clicks on something I don’t want it to because of the horrible touch pad. It also heats up way too quickly and the battery life is abysmal, it only holds a charge for a few hours.I wish I saw a lot of the negative reviews of this before I bought it, would’ve saved me £1,100.Do not buy this, it is not worth it especially for the price, you’re better off getting a MacBook.

bad battery so far
The battery does even hold for a complete 2 hours... and it overheats with much tasks going on!

Disappointed
One of the worst laptops that I ever had. Worst touch pad, jumping cursor issues and unexplained blue line on the screen. Too much heat generated from the laptop. Not worth for the price that have paid!

Trackpad is broken - and it's a known (unfixable) fault!
Had this now for 3 months, bought direct from Dell. DO NOT BUY THIS LAPTOP. It has a known hardware fault on the trackpad which is unfixable and prevents it from being used. Most users, including me, are having to default to using an external mouse as a result. The keyboard is also terrible. Caveat emptor!

Great laptop - but cheaper on the Dell website, and you can customise it
Bought for home and business use. I recommend going for the touchscreen variant and not to bother with the OLED screen as it significantly reduces battery life. Go direct to the Dell website for better prices and customisation choices. Many professional groups also give discounts via Dell so search around. It is light on connector sockets but many small 'docking stations' are available to meet your needs. Also think ahead on SSD size. I am replacing a 256GB Asus laptop that ran out of space and I dont think 512GB is enough either. At least the SSDs are upgradable.Performance is excellent and the keyboard is very good. The non-OLED FHD touchscreen is bright and sharp. 4K doesnt make much sense at 13" unless you are attaching a larger 4K monitor.

So many bugs and faults
I get really tired with companies with a profiteering attitude, releasing products they know have faults, Windows incompatibilities and lacking testing in the factory. To do this knowingly is fraud and should be penalised very heavily.Build quality usually seems good, and robust. But certain bugs are present which have been known in the industry for two decades now, and covered up, for example, the notorious jumping cursor problem - absolutely disgusting that this has never been fixed. You also cannot use these as laptops, they'd burn a hole through your leg!

battery is a joke
only 5hrs of battery in OLED version is a joke for this price.
