My dermatologist uses these mini scalpels during every visit to carefully shave / scrape off the calloused build up of skin before doing a new treatment (acid or freezing spray) on my plantar warts. They have to be disposable or else if you try to do that at home with nail clippers, you keep reinfecting yourself (unless you are militant about using disinfectant or soaking in rubbing alcohol). To accelerate the process at home, I purchased 100 of these and use them 1-2x week to remove the dead skin and then use a home treatments. I think this has definitely accelerated the treatment process for me. Otherwise I would wait 2 weeks between treatments at the dermatologist.

I got these for my travel kit.Turns out, you'd be better off haphazardly filing an old dull piece of metal you have laying around than to use these.The angle of the sharpen is variable throughout.The thickness of each blade is variable.The edge is not sharp enough to cut skin without excessive pressure.I will use these for scraping out and nothing more.

I can use them but they're not gonna do what I wanted them to do still will be used.
