Unlike what is shown in the picture the raincoat does not extend to his tail. It covers about 3/4 th of his back so he has no problem doing potty while wearing it. **Q: My collie freaks out when I try to slip this over her head. She's usually very calm and obedient. Any advice?** A: I've had success in scrunching it up so it's easier to slip over and letting him see a high value treat like cheese through the collar. He'll instinctively reach for the treat, slipping the coat over his own head. **Q: I have a 65 pound retriever mix. Which size would fit him best ?** A: Not sure what size would fit a 65 lb retriever. I have a 26 lb Terrier and the large fits him well. **Q: what size for a 50 lb. smooth coated Mc.Nab BC?** A: As big as the 2 that I bought for my 2 dogs...an Australian Shepherd and a bouvier Des flandres, both were too big. I bought an XXL and an xxxl, and both are real big. My bouvier is a big girl at 100lbs and my Aussie is 62 lbs. They are very nice raincoat however the strap around the chest need to be entirely Velcro because it's too long to fasten. I bought more Velcro to lengthen it. Large or maybe medium.
