Honestly, the XOSS G+ Gen2 GPS Bike Computer is a nice little upgrade if you’re trying to make your bike setup feel more legit without spending a lot. It shows the main stuff you actually care about while riding, like speed, distance, time, and ride stats, so you don’t have to keep checking your phone. The screen is easy to see, and the auto backlight is clutch when you ride early, late, or in shady areas. I also like that it has Bluetooth, Type-C charging, ANT+ support, and IPX7 waterproofing. For the price, that’s actually pretty solid. The mount makes the handlebar setup look cleaner too, like you’re really locked in for the ride. Overall, this is a good pickup for beginners, casual riders, commuters, or anyone who wants their bike to feel more upgraded. It’s simple, useful, and makes every ride feel a little more pro.

The item itself is great, the battery charge lasts a long time with a short time to reach a full charge. However, I've had to replace mine twice because they don't securely stay on the bike. If you're only using it for rides on smooth surfaces with no chance of an unexpected pot hole or any rough terrain then this is perfect. Also, even on the clearest of days outdoors before a ride, it takes the unit quite sometime to start working. I think it needs to connect to some satellite or something before the mph displays. Do not recommend using on an e-bike

I had to replace a wahoo bolt because i got stuck out on the rain. It was supposed to be water proof and of course it was out of warranty. I wasn’t in any rush to spend another $300 plus on a new bike computer, but had heard about the XOSD G+. This thing does everything i need it to, tells me my speed, hooks up to my sensors, and links with strava seamless and ALL FOR $40!!! I feel somewhat foolish for spending so much on my last computer.. dont make the same mistake i did, you dont need all those extra features. The XOSS G+ is all i ever needed and i recommend it to all riders of any level

Updating my review because I've reached a showstopper: it stops recording if you reach 9999 km :-( I got the XOSS Gen2 G+ in May 2024. Before that, I had the Gen1 and was mostly pleased with it: the buttons were on top and were both visible and tactile. For Gen2, Xoss decided to hide the buttons under the front panel and recess them so that you can't see them and can barely feel them. If you're wearing gloves, forget about pressing them. So the G2 G+ has been a frustration every time I want to press a button, and that starts when I want to turn it on. Nevertheless, since I bought it, I managed its poor design on every bike ride. After each ride I would sync it with the Xoss app on my phone, which would then send it to the Xoss website so I could see a map and the stats of my ride - that feature is very good. But now, after 14 months, the Gen2 G+ stopped recording and uploading data. It still shows me data while I'm riding: speed, distance, altitude, etc. But it stopped syncing with the Xoss app on my phone, and there are no workouts saved on the G+. It may be because the odometer reached 9999 km. Did Xoss think that 9999 km is more enough; who would ever ride more than that? So there's no provision for more than 9999 km - that's insane !! I can switch to Imperial and use (gasp!) miles and maybe reach 9999 miles but I suspect that the same problem would result. I tried "Settings/Reset" to no avail. I tried "Settings/Clear All Data and Settings" to no avail. I tried "Delete All Data" to no avail. Does Xoss expect you to buy a new unit if you reach 9999 km. IMHO, a design with a hard limit of 9999 km is brain dead. Many cyclists will reach that distance in a few months. I'm running firmware V1.09.2973 which Xoss says is "up to date". So don't buy this device unless you seek frustration, and you like the challenge of finding workarounds. ----- Previous reviews: Updating my earlier review with this comment: don't buy this bike computer unless you like buggy software. Occasionally, after you finish a ride, it'll connect to your phone, display "Syncing", but it never downloads your ride data. You'll have to cycle the power (turn if off, then on). But yesterday I found a new bug: it looks like it's downloading your ride, but then it displays for a few seconds a bright red bar saying something like "unable to download". It doesn't stay on the screen long enough for me to actually read it. Cycling the power doesn't help. I lost three days of rides because this bug. The only solution I found was to connect and use the app to reset the %$#@!@ XOSS. Apparently XOSS doesn't adequately test their firmware before publishing it. Previous review: I've had two XOSS first-generation (G1) units for a few years, and so when this G2 "improved" version came out, I was wanted to try it. The G1 units were nice, but the display was limited. For instance, it would be nice to see the time/altitude/gradient without changing screens. And although the G1 recorded temperature, you had to download the data to see it. The G2 purported to address these plaints. Now, after owning one for several months with daily use, I have some comments on their "improvements". It's true that the G2 displays the time and temperature on the screen. But they are of such minuscule size that there's almost no way to read them when you're motion. Maybe you could if you're on a glass-smooth road with no traffic to avoid, you could focus on the display long enough to read the micro-fonts. So they're nominally available, but if you care about your safety, you should stop if you want to actually read them. The G2 G+ devotes a huge amount of display space to cadence and heartrate which is fine if buy the sensors. But I'm wary of TMI so I did not. As a result I have two blank displays on my screen. OTOH if you do get those sensors, congratulations, they're displayed in large numbers. Finally, my biggest issue. Apparently XOSS decided that their G1 versions were too user-friendly, so they figured out how to make the G2 MUCH HARDER to use. The G1 units had their buttons on the top face so the were not only visible but also tactile - you could see them and feel them. That's very convenient. In contrast, for the G2, they moved the buttons so they are on bottom edge and below the top plate. They are not visible when you're riding, or even if the unit is lying flat on a table. The bottom face of the unit (the one that faces the rear of the bike when it's mounted on the handlebars) is not vertical but instead at an acute angle to the top face. So the buttons, which XOSS moved from the top plate to the bottom face, are now on an face that recedes. Furthermore, the top face overhangs this face by a millimeter or two and the buttons are recessed behind this overhang. Consequently, the buttons are not only not visible, but they are also almost impossible to feel. Since you cannot see or feel the G2 buttons, the best you can do it to try to apply pressure where you think the buttons may be. Sometimes you get them, sometimes not. And if you're wearing gloves - don't even bother trying. So XOSS has succeeded in making their G2 hard and frustrating for bike riders to use. That's so aggravating since they had a good and easy-to-use design with their G1 units. Not sure that I'd buy another one.

I love this. Coming from a Cateye wireless this is amazing. No more batteries to buy, quick on and off attachment is excellent. Acquired satellite almost instantly. Easy to read. Incredible value for the money. Instruction book is small but adequate to setup. I downloaded there app and was very pleased with the detail and ease of use. Because if this I will probably look into their heart rate monitor. If your on the fence go for it. I measured this against smartwatch and car odometer + GPS and it was dead on accurate.

I HAVE BOUGHT NOW 2 XOSS GPS In general, they both work ok. One is a simple devise and this one is cloged with more information. This more advanced device, except for reading the speed, the rest of the numbers, you can barely read. The gradient numbers are extra small. Temperature is even smaller. You need a magnifier to read the Temperature. One big difference is in the Total Altitud. The simple one is perfectly calibrated. This new more advanced gives wierd altitudes. The rest of the functions work ok for now. And yes, you do have to remove it from the holder to change the functions. The buttons are on the side and it is difficult to operate them. The simple device has the buttons on top and works very easy.

Had the previous version, but lost it on a ride after I broke the mount on the bar. This one has additional features such as the HR monitor which works seamlessly with my Polar chest strap unit. I’ve only made a couple of rides on it so far but am quite happy with it.

Easy to install and lots of features

The xoss bicycle computer works great over bluetooth and also works seemlessly with the vortex sensors for speed dhd cadence. Battery seems to last quite longer than what the manufacturer shares on the product manual. GPS fix is also nearly instantaneous. I am also able to sync with strava via the xoss app.
