Although it says not to, I have been using it as a pediatric shake to help my daughter, with sensory issues when it comes to food, gain weight. Works really well. She went from the 11% to the 37% in a year and a half. I am now using it under the guidance of a GI specialist and a dietitian for the same purpose. Please seek doctor opinions before using it for this purpose. My daughter is almost completely dependent on theses shakes for food. Your child may not have the same issues and may need therapies to help. That being said if you are looking for a cost effective alternative to any of the higher priced shakes, these have higher calories, and I have not had any issue getting her to drink this. It also comes it different flavors. The only issue we have run into is that we use the nuk transition bottle with spout nipple, and after it sits for awhile, it starts to thicken. Any unused portion definitely needs to be refrigerated as soon as possible. It can also be a pain to clean out, so try rinsing it out after drinking it.

I have had trouble gaining weight my whole life and it is really hard to find high calorie drinks that actually show results but I decided to try this since it’s the highest calorie drink I can find. I actually really love the taste of it compared to others. I have only tried the chocolate and I really like it because it is a smooth, mild chocolate flavor. I will say, it is a very very thick consistency. I personally like it but I know that can bother a lot of people. It takes about two months of drinking 1-2 a day for me to see any results. Because of the price and how often I have to drink it, I had to stop buying it. I’m giving it 4 stars because I truly do love the product and found it helpful in my weight gain journey, but it is just too expensive.

It is very hard to find a nutrition drink that is high calorie so I was pleased to find this. It purchased the variety pack and my daughter really likes the taste of all of them. They are conveniently packaged in single serving cartons. They are smooth and consistent. The quality is spot on. I did not check the protein amount, I was looking for calories and these deliver. Over 500 calories a carton. My daughter really likes them.
