TruGlo Low-Profile All-Metal Construction Glo Dot II Universal Fiber Optic Sight for Plain Barrel Shotgun, 12 & 20 Ga/.410 Ga, Green/Red

I had previously installed one of these on my Mossberg 500 12g and was pleased with the results. It does take a little trial and error to hold the sight at the right angle and push just right, but it doesn't take long to be agle to pop it in place.Because the diameter of the .410 is so much less than the 12g, it's trickier to get the walls to spread. I actually pushed at the wrong angle and accidentally bent one side, but I got a pair of needle nose pliers and bent it back enough to find the sweet spot to get it on.Whateveer that plastic is, is a miracle. I haven't had a chance to fire the gun yet and see if it truly holds its place, but once it's properly mounted, it fits so tightly, it doesn't seem like it will be going anywhere from the gun's recoil.UPDATE: I've fired the shotgun about half a dozen times now and I dont' see a hint of movement. The fiber optic bead is bright red in the daylight and about the same size as the factory bead.I am thoroughly pleased.One note: This sight is harder to put on a .410 barrel than a 12g, so pay close attention putting it on. The plastic is quite firm, but it's also unforgiving. Get it right the first time,

For the money, this thing is a great bargain. BUT: It is NOT, NO, NOT, all metal.It’s a high grade plastic and it seems to be very sturdy. I’m going to buy a few more to upgrade some of my shotguns. It beats the heck out of a silly little bead!

Got this for my new shotgun because it was not that expensive and the brass bead on my shotgun was plain. Simple to install and looks pretty cool, especially in daylight. It is a little hard to see the green dot in lower light conditions, but its not that bad. Worked well at the shooting range and it worked awesome when I went shooting out in the desert.

Fit perfect on h&r pardner pump. Easier to pickup than the brass bead as well.

It's not metal! I wanted a metal front sight for my shotgun. This was advertised as all metal. It is not. I'm not sure how well it's going to hold up?

So I read reviews saying it doesn't glow in dark. I read the product description, it doesn't claim to work in the dark.What is does is seriously improve the sight over the bead sight. This thing is bright, even in daylight and my eyes go right to it.Easy, just snaps right on. Hasn't moved one CM on me. For the price, it's a vast improvement without adding a red dot.

I didn't really have many aftermarket options for my 870 express tactical. The front bead is press-fit so that excluded any threaded replacements. This product was pretty inexpensive and decided to give it a shot, (no pun intended.)Since the product is designed for 20 gauge weapons as well, it had to open to accomidate the extra width of the 12ga barrel. It will fit, but it's tight and on there snugly once it's fitted. I forecast this will be good once I get to shooting but it's a pain in the butt when trying to get the thing centered on the gun. There is a small ramp before the bead on my gun so the v-notch on the product didn't help. Finally got it centered and on there after making sure I didn't trap any moisture beneath it with a little bit of CLP. CLP or not, I don't think this thing is going anywhere. Tight.Unless it flies off when I shoot, I say give it a try. Not the cleanest install but whatever. Got what I paid for. Bright as heck indoors and out.
