Small ice cream maker
This is a great little thing. It comes with recipe at first u think wow that's alot to do, but do it and it's not really. It will take u around 2-3hrs for it to b ready with freezing and chilling process. It is small so I would say if ur wanting to make for family get another size.

A little engine that can
Even for a 'removable base' ice cream maker this is still good value. It's easy to assemble, use, and clean, and it takes up very little space in the freezer in between uses.In terms of the negatives, if I want to get nit-picky:The paddle is plastic, and I have already (four months) noticed some chips in it where it has abraded against ice crystals. It's quite noisy when it runs, and if you run it for more than about 20 minutes you can actually start to melt your nascent ice-cream as the coolant warms up.However, in spite of the negative points it's still an excellent, economical ice cream maker that will take sorbets, ice creams, and even plain ices down to soft-serve texture in very short time. Just remember to put them in the freezer to finish hardening up.

Not Ice Cream Consistency
I've had this a couple of weeks and have tried a few different recipes all of which do not turn the ingredients to ice cream in any length of time. It's just a sloshy mess. I have to freeze it for an hour afterwards, which kinda defeats the object I think.Anyhow, I've got it so I'll have to use it but it's not great.

Very small and doesnt freeze
I have to confess i ordered the wrong size. But never mind. Stuck the bowl into the freezer for 3 weeks but it didn't even cool the mixture. It doesnt work. Don't think coolant in bowl works

Bought to make Keto Ice cream
Really important to note that you need to freeze the container first and also chill your mixture BEFORE hand to attempt to make ice cream instead of a whipped cream - it doesn't say this in the instructions so you end up with a whipped mixture you have to then freeze for 8-12 hoursIt is a cute size and does the job but i feel it's really overpriced for essentially a slow mixer - that's all it doesI also think there should be a flat lid provided to store in the freezer instead of the raised plastic lid- i used tin foil but next time i will decanter the mixture into a separate plastic container as the ice cream was too hard to scoop as the container was frozen (metal) also you may scratch the metal inside which i did when scooping out icecream

Perfect for a couple
The media could not be loaded. I was dubious about this maker given the reviews saying that it only makes enough for one etc and when it arrived my wife said the same. It looked smaller than I expected and I contemplated sending it back but I'm really glad I didn't. We have used it multiple times a week since. This produces the equivalent of a Ben and Jerry's tub, which is all my wife and I would buy anyway, and all that can fit in our freezer drawer so that's perfect. It also works for vegan ice cream and means we have more flavour options than ever before. For those looking for dairy free, I use 360ml oat milk, 165g granulated sugar, 480ml vegan double cream and if I'm using a powder i.e. matcha or Thai tea, 2-3 tbps. This makes more than the machine can take, but I find we get 3 B&J equivalent tubs from this mixture kept in the fridge for a fraction of the price. Trick that seems to work best for us is using about 305ml instead of 350ml. For some reason it thickens it quicker and gets it closer to soft scoop after about 35mins.Granted we have only had it a few weeks but I'm impressed so far. Use a tea towel to help you get the lid off and hold the bowl - the lid is quite big but it does come off okay, but as the condensation develops it can be harder to removed. Be prepared to get a little messy trying to remove the blade!Highly recommend for couples who are looking for something cheaper than a B&J or for a kid.
