I see the word "rover" a couple of times. Is this for ground vehicles, aerial, or both?

In the context of an RTK GPS, there are two GPS units used to create the position solution. A base/reference station and roving unit (the rover). This configuration is true for all types of vehicles, air, ground, etc. In the most common setup, the base/reference unit stays in a fixed location while the rover is mounted on the vehicle. The base transmits a correction signal via the vehicle's telemetry link to the rover GPS. The rover uses this correction signal to remove the remaining error from the GPS position solution.
