Two days before our family road trip the rear hatch struts on our 2014 Subaru Outback failed completely. Found these on Amazon and decided to give it a go. The numbers on the failed struts are 63260AJ10C and 63260AJ11C (for right and left), which I could not find. The compatible numbers in the description were close enough so I took the chance. They arrived a day before we left and took me 30 mins to put in. I held the hatch open with a 7 foot 2x4, took the old ones off and put on the new ones. I needed to save the 4 bolts from the failed struts because these new struts come with nuts only. They come compressed, so you will need to remove the strap to open them up. Install the top ball joint first, then you can twist the bottom bracket to align with the holes for the bolts. You will need metric tools (10mm socket for bolts and 12mm wrench for the bolt joint bolt). These work great.

Bought these as a replacement for the rear struts in my 2013 Subaru Outback 2.5i, and I am pleased with the purchase. The installation was pretty straightforward, though you will have to prop up the hatch or have assistance with holding it up, I found I had to have the hatch opened to the max in order to get them screwed in. I’d recommend installing the upper joint first, since I started with the bottom and the strut slipped out of my hand when trying to screw the top in, and it fell and chipped my taillight. Though I had some trouble with installation, it’s no fault of the struts themselves. With these new struts, I hardly have to open the hatch for it to lift itself up all the way. There is no worry about the hatch falling down, as they feel very sturdy while holding it up. Closing is a bit difficult, requiring some force to get the door fully shut, but I suspect with some more use it will become more manageable. I’d definitely recommend these as a budget alternative to the oem struts, just be ready for a potential tricky installation and requiring some force to close the hatch.

Shocks Snap right in no need to pull the metal clip. I noticed that the shocks are a few mm longer than OEM making them extend longer and open higher than my previous shocks, It appears to be fine and does not affect the function of the design and use. Over all good shocks.

I bough these to replace one of the lifts that gave out on my 2015 Forester. We replaced both of them at the same time since I'm sure the other one wasn't far behind. They were fairly simple to install and had my hatchback fixed in under 30 minutes.

Perfect fit! They work great and do exactly what they are supposed to do, keep the hood up!

Item came on time and good condition. It was easy to install (on a 2009 Toyota Camrt) as long as you do not follow their instructions and install like OEM, with the piston on top and body (big) side on bottom which is opposite their instructions, just swap the ends. Works great and quiet!! Worth the price.
