Picky rabbit loves it
Got this for my rabbit who never drinks enough water and was beginning to have some health issues because of that. I'd already tried various bowls, a water fountain, the water bottle with the straw, adding apple juice to her water, etc...nothing worked. But this bottle she loves. Now I see her drinking a good amount of water every day. The bars on your hutch do have to be fairly tall or wide for this to fit and the bottom has to rest on something (a lower rung works) or it pops off. But this got my picky girl drinking her water so in my book it's gold. Great for pets who hate getting their whiskers wet.

Leaks
I bought a pack of two. They both leak which leads to the water tray overflowing and water running at a constant trickle out of the bowl. I do not recommend at all.

Wanted For This To Work...But It Didn't For Us
The design of this water feeder is very nice. I do like it a lot. It's easy to clean, all the parts come apart easily. It goes on and off the cage easily. It's easy to refill without removing the whole feeder from the cage. But with my guinea pigs it just didn't work as expected. The pigs were I guess too used to the metal spout type water bottles, and when we put this one in to replace one of those that leaked all they would do with this was bite the side of the bowl. Or they would remove the little filter that fits into the bowl portion and fling it all over their cage and chew on it. But at least they weren't soaking their cage liner in three days with this one.

It’s leaking
This was suppose to be leak proof and it’s leaking and causing me to change bedding more often and it’s getting my floors wet I ended up having to toss it such a shame I had high hopes for it.

Great for a guinea pig playpen, inside or out
Our guinea pig playpend is a pop-tent variety, so it doesn't have a place where you can put a traditional water bottle. This freestanding one has been a great option for us. The guinea pigs know exactly how to use it and it stays upright / is difficult to push over. When you remove it, it's easy to pull out the bottle, but there will be a little bit left in the circle/drinking area, so you have to be careful when removing that part if you are concerned about small spills. This has been a great find for us.

Fhiny water bottle for small pets
It's very convenient. You don't have to hang it from the cage, just fill it and set it in the cage.

Must be cleaned daily!
After using this water system, I do have an issue. Maybe this is just a ferret thing, but the bowl gets dirty and stinky really quick! I think that the " backwash" from my ferret while eating and drinking, causes the bowl to get really stinky. I was hoping to give him an easier way to get water than from a no drip inverted water bottle, but I had to switch back to using the inverted bottle. I did not want to clean it daily and I don't want him to get sick from drinking nasty gross water that has been sitting in the bowl. Other than that, it works just as it is intended to, so if you don't think that you'll have this problem, then it will work great!
