Very accurate, very easy, very delicate
Do not have this on the same bench as your press if your are weighing as the slightest jar while it's dropping and weighing screws with the accuracy. I set it on a stool next to the bench so I can weigh, fill, and seat without interruption. The Rcbs powder drop on stand is nice fer speed but too inaccurate for me. For top notch accuracy this charge master lite is the only best drop to use. Lyman gen 6 has crap reviews this unit has good price and great reviews.

A GREAT addition to your reloading.
A real time saver. I love this product. Give it a 15 to 30 minute warm up and follow the calibration procedures, throw a few charges and return them to the hopper and you are off to the races.Throws accurate for ball/spherical as well as extruded powders. Pay attention, don't get in too big of a hurry, check and make sure there is no powder collecting outside of the pan (ball powder tends to bounce out) on around the platen. I would also recommend not seating your bullets (or causing a vibration) on your mounting bench as the dump is taking place or trickling in at the end of its cycle. It seems to "learn" the charge and will take less time as you progress. One last thing...When adjusting, watch where you place your hands (big old clumsy hands) as you can inadvertently touch the on/off switch with your little finger (knuckle). All in all a very nice tool. Can shoot sub MOA groups.

So Far So Great
Very simple to operate. Very accurate. I warmed it up for a full 25 minutes and ran it against my beam scale over an over again and it was dead on every time. The Directions that come with it are typical useless RCBS directions. To use the device I suggest you watch a few videos. One thing I'll point out is that there is a leveling bubble. The directions do not mention this feature nor do they explain its importance. You'll figure out most of it out though. Just make sure to use the adjustable feet (also not mentioned in the "directions") to level the device for good results. Since, I throw most of my ball powders, I bought the Chargemaster Lite specifically to deal with stick powders. So far I have loaded only about a hundred rounds with the Chargemaster Lite, but so far it works like a champ. I gave it 4 stars for value because I had to pay appreciably more to get it through Amazon. So far it performs great.

Should have bought long ago!
Wonderful scale! It is quick to setup and a breeze to operate. I had previously been loading my rifle rounds using the Lee auto drum and weighing every forth charge to ensure accuracy which was always close but not bang on.The Chargemaster lite is compact and throws an accurate charge. It takes a little a 15 - 30 seconds to throw a charge for your rifle cartridges depending on the density of powder. TrailBoss is pretty slow but expected as it weighs nothing.I wish you could adjust the settings as with the Chargemaster full size. I feel it starts trickle mode a little early and one could probably shave 5-10 seconds off each charge if you were able to adjust it.I now exclusively use my Lee Auto Drum for pistol loads and high volume rifle loads (223). The Chargemaster lite has been a great upgrade for me and as everyone else who likes it I wish I would have upgraded long ago!

Great powder thrower and scale
Got into rifle reloading about 5 years ago and one of the reasons was the RCBS 1500 Chargemaster. I wore mine out. Enter the 1500 Lite. Smaller, more compact, cheaper, LCD touch screen instead of bubble pad (remains to be seen which one will turn out to be more reliable over 5 yrs). It seems to be faster. It's still +/- 0.1 grain which is acceptable for load development and anything other than match day benchrest loads for me. I have another set up for that. Was able to do load development/tuning with it for my new 6BR 13.5 twist gun shooting 70 grain bullets. One hole group at 100yds. Takes up a little less space on my bench. Seems to be more stable. It does not drift just like the full size 1500. The included brush and brush holder for clean out is a nice touch but it's too small. I bought a 3/4 or 1" cheap paint brush to speed up the clean out process. Dont leave powder sitting in it. I did that on the full size 1500 over the yrs and powder reacts with the plastic and makes it blister and get a pebble finish. There is a sticker or decal on the Lite just under where the platen sits with directions for start up and calibration. There is also a paragraph in the manual on calibration. They dont agree on the procedure. I've never understood trying to calibrate a scale with 100 GRAMS of weight when you are throwing max less than 100 grains of powder. Once you know what your powder pain weighs (the included one by the way is very small and not suitable for my XL fingers) setting it on the platen and getting the same weight each time is a pretty good indication of calibration. Check weights are a good idea too. Really like the new Lite Chargemaster. The more I use it the more I like it. Too expensive for what it is but my set up for BR powder charges with +/- 0.02 grains accuracy costs 3 times as much.
