Wonderful bluetooth player!
Works great! I use this when I mow and dont want to worry about my phone falling off the deck and getting run over. Its small, fits in my pocket and is very robust. The case is aluminum and the front and rear glass seems to be as strong as borosilicate glass. Push buttons are responsive and the lit up buttons work as they should. The OS is not slow or laggy either. For the money youll be happy with one of these. I did have an issue with the volume being low, but they made it right. It should be noted that customer service is excellent and they are super polite. Thank you so much!

Cheap and yet very good, excellent customer service
Phinistec Z6 is not a HiRes Audio player! But as an mp3 player, which also plays many other audio formats, it is definitely one of the best in terms of value for money - if not the best. The purchase at Amazon was impeccable, and the delivery to Hungary was reasonably fast. The packaging is moderately elegant and safe. It should be noted that in addition to the applied glass foils, we also get a spare and the included USB-A-USB-C adapter is a useful accessory. The device itself provides a premium feeling in terms of its weight and use of materials. The storage capacity of 96 GB is enough for a lot of things. With wired earphones, the sound quality - depending on the quality of the earphone - can be said to be quite good. The problem was that the maximum volume with BT headphones or a speaker was extremely low, so to speak, unusable. I wrote to the manufacturer's customer service about this, and the next day they sent me a new firmware version with a detailed description of the update process. After completing the update, the BT problem was practically solved: although the volume is lower than that available with the wired headset, it has increased significantly compared to before, and is completely usable. Big thanks and appreciation to the customer service! The menu system is a bit old-fashioned, a bit clumsy, sometimes cumbersome and not very spectacular. It would be nice if the colour of the background and text could be changed (black background, white letters, red is the active menu item). But you can live with that. The battery life is absolutely fantastic, it really is as much as the description promises. In summary: if you don't expect HiRes Audio quality, it's well worth the price. It is very good for listening to music on the go every day.

Battery life is its strongest feature
Still going through the various features so my review may be altered, later. But currently giving this four stars out of five.I was drawn to this device primarily for two reasons : the build quality and its advertised battery life. And on both these fronts this device is exactly as advertised - it feels like a premium device in your hand and, although I haven't completely torture tested the battery it looks like I could easily go at least a week with all day use, before concerning myself with recharging it.Other features I have mixed feelings on, but again keeping the price point in mind. The speaker is fine for a device at this price point and I find myself using it more than I expected - been putting the device on its side and almost reminds me of an old AM radio as far as the speaker quality. Volume up / down is fine but a physical pause button would have been nice also but not there. USB-C always a plus and the line-out not certain if it really functions like that versus a separate headphone out. That this device has also been getting firmware updates for two years(?) also quite impressed with. IPS screen is great indoors and "good enough" outside, definitely seen devices with much worse screens on them. Also did some basic testing with Bluetooth, which I expect to use at times and no issues so far. Paired with my BT headphones and my Bose speaker but haven't tried my car (yet). The software still has some quirks, unfortunately. I haven't really tested the database features, first off as I use folders for playback. And that's been fine as has been the number of files recognized in that mode - currently I have a 256GB micro SD card, exfat formatted and ~24K files on it and I haven't had it freeze up yet. Earlier testing, which I had expected to fail, a 512GB fat32 card with ~50k files on it and it would just freeze with that card. But I'm guessing(?) newer firmware has upped the max files read, not certain. The red highlight on the screen, which others have reported in reviews, I agree was a bad UI choice as you can't always read the text there. But probably a non-issue over time as "muscle memory" kicks in. Also an unexpected flaw in the software is a lack of gapless playback (I tested LAME MP3 and Vorbis files both). Not that gapless becomes an issue with most music, but live albums it's noticeable. Or Side Two of Abbey Road. Finally the sound quality. Have a number of DAP's, good and bad and the sound quality on this device is....average. EQ improves things but that can only go so far, and again cognizant of the price point and that this company sells a higher priced hi-fi device with a better sound chip. Earbuds sound tinny, even more so than you'd expect an earbud to normally sound and my Sony V6's, which usually are my go-to for a bassy punch, are more subdued on this device. So to summarize : the battery life on this thing is amazing, easily the best I have even seen on any MP3 player I've owned. And the solid construction makes it feel more premium that the price paid. BT is the icing on the cake to move someone like myself to the modern era of DAP's / retire a few of my older players but don't expect its UI or sound quality to amaze you.
