This part got good and is WAY more durable then the other one it came with!

New Door striker works properly but does not appear to be upgraded or made from stainless steel
The part does not appear to be an upgraded part as was alluded to in the ad. It appears lighter weight than the original and does NOT exactly match the picture in the ad. It is NOT made of stainless steel. That being said, it does work in an acceptable manner, hence 4 stars rather than 5. BTW, It may make sense if one is replacing this part due to the fact that it has broken off in the mating door lock assembly mounted on the machine to ALSO replace the door locking assembly. It is not expensive (about $32.00) and is easy to remove and replace. I took my old one apart to remove the broken part of the door striker and it did not work properly when I replaced the part on the door so I was glad that I bought the replacement door lock as well as the striker for the door.
