When I reach for a tape, it is always Lufkin
I was blown away by the little features and quality of my first Lufkin tape several years ago, so impressed that I when my other tapes broke that I purchased this 25 footer to replace them.Lufkin tapes allow me to measure with great precision. This is the most impressive 25 footer I have ever used. It has big, bold numbering yet the measurements are fine and precise. The feel of the tape is the feel of quality: it has comfortable edges (other tapes scratched me), it has weight (should survive roof-top drops), the locking mechanism locks the tape securely, and the finger indent on the bottom allows me to stop the tape for a quick measurement or to bend the tape for those awkward areas.My 16' Lufkin tape fell from a small height a couple years ago and the locking mechanism no longer works. If something was to go in this tape, it will probably be that.

Horrible Brand
I'm switching brands. I've stood behind Lufkin for 8 years, but this is the second tape I've been through in 3 months. The first was from Lowe's and the second Amazon. I am a professional contractor - I can assure you I don't mistreat my tools. I don't know if this is related, but both of my most recent defective tapes from Lufkin retracted quite a bit faster than usual. Enough to hurt my finger a couple times, and for one of my helpers to even comment on the speed in which it retracted.

Misleading product pictures.
The product pictures are very misleading and I will update with a photo tomorrow. There are a lot of extra numbers on the tape itself that don’t need to be. They make it very confusing and make the tape useless. I am returning, which sucks, becauase I love all my Lufkin tapes.

Blade crinkled and bent in less than a week
The blade of this tape measure is incredibly thin and flimsy.. I used it for less than a week and the blade was bent bad enough that the tape was 1/4" off.. I was not rough on the tape.. I didn't abuse it in any way.. Stay away from this particular model Lufkin.. It can't hold up to every day use..

Cheaply made.
Lock feature broke within 10 uses. No good to me now. My old tape measure lasted 30 years... This went in trash in 2 months.
