While all wasn't perfect with this order, the end result has left me happy.PROS:- Installation was pretty simple. Once you figure out where you want to tie in to the reverse light circuit, the rest is not bad.- Camera works great. Comes right on when truck is put in reverse, and angle is easy to adjust in order to have correct view.- Monitor is clear enough to see, although the reviews that mention it can be a little harder to make out on a very sunny day are correct. But even on a sunny day, you can still use the monitor to see what's behind you.- Customer service was very good. When we had a problem with the first unit that was sent, a replacement was provided promptly.- The LED lights at night really work great! It's impressive how well you can see what's behind you in dark conditions.CONS:- First camera sent had crooked grid lines which made it worthless to try and use them to back up. Camera still was useful to make sure that nothing was in your path or see how close you are to something, but if you tried to use the lines to guide you it would make you go crooked and run into something. Seller did replace this defective camera.- After washing the truck, camera was fogged over for a day or so. Couldn't see anything in it until the inside of the lens had time to dry out. It's never been a problem when it's rained (even in torrential downpours), only one time when the vehicle was washed.- Mirror that fits over existing rearview mirror is limited in how far the clamp pieces can stretch out. In our Suburban which had an auto-dimming rearview mirror with a compass display built into it, it was very difficult to fit the monitor that came with this onto the mirror. If you have a very tall existing mirror, you'd probably want to go with the kit that includes the monitor that can be mounted to the dashboard.So, overall we are very happy with the camera. For the money it provides excellent value.

Installed in a 12 kia Rio sedan. It does not deal well with PWM power from the tail light and for best image quality could use a separate power relay, screen has some horizontal banding lines when car is running and in reverse. With car off and in reverse, image is clear. I believe this is due to the camera AND display both being powered by the reverse light. I tried with grounding securely to the car body instead of the backup light ground and it made no difference. I've installed many more expensive systems that used a complete mirror replacement unit, and they typically require the display end to have its own power supply from the fuse block and only power the camera with the reverse light. Those types don't have the flicker because their power draw from the reverse light is soo much less.That being said, if you have an older car this may not be an issue. Using just a single power source integrated into the video cabling made this easy to install. The hardest part was removing the plastic panels (especially the A pillar airbag area) to route the wire to the front of the car.The camera itself has a very wide view for the parking lines to be of any use. Even adjusted fully wide they don't even come close to matching the width of the vehicle track. But the picture is clear and will stop you from running over anything directly in the path behind you. Very helpful if you have a high profile trunk like the Rio does. For the price, this is an incredible value that gets you sight behind your car.

I bought this to add some modern touches to an older truck that I am trying to flip for some extra cash. I wanted something that looked nice, works well, was easy to install, and most of all, cost effective. Happy to say that I think I got all of that. Now, there are going to be better options out there and if this was for my own personal car or project, I'd probably lean more toward a camera that shows video through the Stereo LCD. That kind of setup could get pricey, fast. So, for the money, this is a great choice. It came with everything necessary to install. Putting it in took less than 15 minutes. You may need special tools depending on the car you are installing it in / where you run your wires to. I tapped my reverse light at the tail light (which is the signal wire) and ran the A/V cable from the license plate where the cam is mounted underneath the truck to the cab. Then routed it up the pillar and to the mirror. The mirror mounts over your stock mirror with rubber straps and one would think that would look hideous, but it's pretty subtle. The picture is clear. Bigger would be nice but that's not the products fault. All in all, I'm happy with it. If you're looking for a good standalone rear view cam that won't empty your wallet, I think you will be too.

I like the quality of the product and excellent low price, plus a nice 2 year warranty. Time will tell. It still strong after 3 months of service, time will tell. At this level,it doesn't looks like a gadget blending in perfectly with the car interior. The rear mirror view is improved by the size and resolution, plus the camera image is sharp and clear. Functionality is good. The rear view of the camera is at the same level of the factory equipment and surpass in the aspect of adjustable backup guide lines that you can match with your vehicle size. Like any aftermarket product, installation is required. Just follow the included instructions. I highly recommend this product.

I bought an older car that didn't have a backup camera but had everything else I was looking for (VW Jetta Sportwagen TDI). This was easy to install and the picture is amazing! I love that I can leave it on all the time of just use it for backing up.

The picture quality is great, especially during the day.
