Worth the purchase if you don’t own this already. It’s been reissued in its original cover format. Get one before it goes out of print. I believe this is a limited edition half speed master.

I originally purchased TOMMY in 1972. I stereo set up was to top flight Marantz Pre & Power amp, Thorens 126 MKII with Shure 3009 Series 2 arm with Stanton MC Cartridge 2 Pair ESS Rock Monitor Towers. The sound was fantastic. The music was unbelievable.Received Abbey Road half-speed remaster last week. played on my current system Rogue Tube Integrated, QUAD S5, speakers and MOFI Ultradeck with Master Tracker cartidge. It did not disappoint in any way. I compare played my 1972 original (which is near mint). The Abbey Road Remaster killed it.

I always found that the CD version that I own sounded fantastic and was impressed with the frequency range. This vinyl does not disappoint. Very happy with the rich, full sound. The tri-fold cover is thick and rugged. My record sleeves fit even the bulkiest of gatefold albums but will not fit over this one. The design makes it hard to remove the inner sleeves which are paper. Booooo. Minus 1 star.

I could tell this was well done from the start but when "Eyesight to the Blind" began my mouth dropped. The range and detail are impeccable. I will certainly be on the lookout for anything made by this company because this is an incredibly fair price for the quality. (Would be willing to toss another $20 for 180g!)

THIS IS THE ORIGINAL, THE FIRST, and the OPTION WHICH BECAME THE TRUE MODEL from which all other of the many other kinds of TOMMY copies, OPTIONS, or OTHER MODELS WERE CUT FROM. Like MIKE OLDFIELDS TUBULAR BELLS there were many different options of TOMMY that were developed, some were aweful, while some were quite good and worthy of some merit. Here I am thinking of the ORCHESTRAL TOMMY which was extremely good and had a great deal of talent involved in the making of it. Too bad that every different TOMMY was not cut from the same cloth as some really were TERRIBLE and it seems that there was no kind of quality control to stop the bad options from entering the market. STILL the original which this is was extremely good and kept the music true and worthy of the talent involved in the making of the entire ( very long ) complete disc set.

El disco llegó en una caja grande sin ninguna protección y dentro de la caja con mucho espacio.Normalmente los vinilos vienen en una funda de Carton ajustada y los protege muy bien. Pero esta maravilla de doble lp no merece tener las esquinas dañadas.
