A solid unit at a good price.
Seems pretty sturdy and works well. There were no assembly or installation instructions, but I figured it out. Instead of mounting it directly to the projector, I mounted about a 1 square foot wooden platform to it, then used a bungie cord to secure the projector to that. That way, I can quickly dismount the projector from the ceiling (without having to unscrew anything) and move it outdoors or to other venues. I'll eventually make something far more elegant than a bungie cord, but this works well for now. Otherwise, having to unscrew the mount from the projector in order to move it would virtually guarantee that my alignment with the indoor screen would get all screwed up each time I unmounted/remounted the projector. Overall, a solid performer at a good price.

Does the job for smaller projectors
It is a sturdy unit - all metal construction with big bolts and nuts. Fits together well, and once tightened up good and proper, feels like it will hold the position for a long timeThe bad:- It is supposed to come with 4 washers each (one for each leg) of 4 different sizes, instead it had only one washer each. It was a brand new box, and the items were all in sealed plastic pouches - so this must be a packing mistake at manufacturing itself.- It comes with four long (4") brackets and four short (2") brackets. The center base is 4" in diameter. So the max reach between mounting holes is about 11" (4+4+4 less the overlaps for the bolts). But the product is advt as having a max reach of 13.81". How is this possible? Well the included instructions ask you to attach the short and long brackets together to extend the reach. It is possible, but this makes the arm weaker and I didn't feel confident hanging my expensive projector from it.- My box did not have the bolts/screws for ceiling mounting. I am not sure if it is a mistake (like the washers above) or if the model does not come with mounting hardware. To sum up, if you have a smaller projector with mounting holes spaced 11" apart or closer, then this mount will suit you fine. But if you have a larger projector (like I have) then look at other options like the very similar looking Mustang low profile projector mount or the eHotCafe universal projector mount in the same price range.Buying from a 3rd party seller is risky if you get one with hardware missing. Stick to Amazon. When I called about the missing parts, they said I could return it, or buy the missing bits at the local hardware store and they'd reimburse me for it. I chose to return it and go for another model that is certain to fit my projector. Difficult to expect similar level of service from a 3rd party seller.

Used it to make a platform mount
I didnt realize my projector had no real screw mounts on the bottom (Favi rio LED 3) even though the manufacturer sells a similar mount. The little pegs didnt come off or reveal threaded cavities. Anyway, this mount is adaptable and thats what I did. I used it to hold a small cage platform.Have fun with all the pieces. There were no washers with mine, and some of the screw holes did not thread properly but not it worked for me.Projectors in general, are a pain to mount the first time. I am happy with this and my Draper V Screen.

Does the job, I guess
Does the job I guess. The horizontal lock does not locked into place well. It’s still a bit shaky and I’ve got the bolt in as tight as I can get it. Anytime you touch the projector (to turn it on, adjust the zoom, etc) it throws the projector off level and you need to readjust the mount. This is not a big deal for me because after I got the projector setup I do not need to touch it anymore, but it did make setup a bit more difficult that it should have been.

worked for the epson 2030
the finish was good not rusted like some other reviewer said. It was missing parts so it took a couple trips to the hardware store to get them. The epson 2030 has 3 mounting holes, so it works if you use a short foot for the 3rd hole and the normal legs for the other two holes and remove the 4th leg altogether. The height seemed more like 15-16 inches from the ceiling.

great product
works great with my Epson 2030. You have to adjust some of the universal brakets, but works like charm. It's a great solid mount, which could use some more tighter screws, sometimes it moves a little bit, so the projectors comes out of allignment. I had an easy fix.great product for a great price.

Solid, nice looking - but saying "Universal Projector....Mount" is a misnomer.
The price was right - it's a solid product, flexible tilt angles, etc. The "universal" mounting hardware to connect it to your projector leaves a lot to be desired. I was able to get it to work, but definitely not how I think the designers intended. You get four short bars and four long bars to connect to the central hub of the mount - the metal is solid, but is curved sort of bracket "U" shaped. The raised screw mounts of my Sharp projector were not compatible - I ended up mounting them upside down (not optimum) and went to the hardware store to find M4 screws to mount it to the projector (only the large screws with hex heads are provided). Solid base, but weak "universal" connecting hardware.

Pretty good mount. Especially for the price.
I just finished installing the mount for my BenQ w1070 projector. For the price especially, it's a pretty decent ceiling mount. It actually came with the proper screws for attaching the arms to the bottom of my projector! However, I had to use my own bolts for the ceiling. I just used toggle bolts that I had on-hand since I wasn't going to be mounting it to a ceiling stud.My only real complaints are as follows:- The package was supposed to contain washers, but it didn't. Even though the instructions showed they were included.- The instructions were not very clear at all! I have made tons of things with Ikea's instructions, and these were much much worse- There is more movement or play in the mount than I would like even after tightening everything down. This makes for quite fidgety movements when trying to align the projector image.Despite these few small complaints, i am quite pleased with the mount and would recommend!

Great mount, heavy duty and very close profile to the ceiling. I used it to mount an Optoma GT5500 connected at 3 mount points on the projector. For two of the mount points, I used arms, which were cut to size and the 3rd mount point was screwed directly to the round base. It took a few attempts at adjusting it to get a level projection but I like the fact that you can lock the position by tightening 3 screws with an Alan hex key. When you first get the mount, you have to loosen these 3 screws on the base to be able to adjust the positioning (tilt and rotation). That took me some time before I figured that out.

Needs to be supplied in a more complete way
The only reason for the 3 star rating is that it is not supplied with bolts to mount the bracket to the projector. I've got a fairly common one, Epson 3020 and the mount did not come with some choices, there are no informational resources provided by the manufacturer to make the customer's life easy either.I'm still searching for the right bolt size and thread pattern. Taking the projector to Home Depot for some trial and error sessions is not an option.

Good mount for the price, with a few hiccups
Good mount and relatively easy to set up. If you have a BenQ w1070, you'll have to remove one of the 4 legs and also replace one of the long legs with the included extra shorter one. The only problems I ran into were:- the projector only includes mounting bolts for brick/cement. I was attaching it to a drywall ceiling, so I first screwed a piece of wood into a joist in my cieling, and then screwed the mount into that. It worked fine, but was a little extra work.- the mount doesn't have any left/right swivel control. If you don't attach it to your projector perfectly straight, you'll have to loosen everything up and try again. It would be nice if there were an easier way to adjust this.

Great low profile projector mount
I was given an older projector which was very large in size. I wanted to find as low profile mount as possible and I couldn't be happier with the purchase. It took a bit of customizing to get it to fit how I would like, but no more then you would likely have to do with any other mount. All in, a fairly simple mount that looks great!
