The circuit board symbology shows a circle with one half open and one half shaded. Looking at the traces on the board, it appears that the pins associated with the shaded semicircles all are connected to the ground plane of the board but not sure. Can anyone confirm that the cathode/negative/short pin of the electrolytic caps goes toward the shaded side of the circle printed on the board? **Q: Does it make sound??** A: The unit generates sine and trapezoidal waveforms so technically it makes sound it you hook it to a speaker. No complex waveforms, just tones **Q: The frequency and amplitude on my XR2206 generator is slightly fluctuate. Is it normal,or some thing wrong with assemble?** A: That's not surprising. The design of the circuit is not terribly robust, so it's not unlikely that you may see some fluctuations. You may want to double check your component placement and your solder joints. Make sure you have the components in the right locations on the PCB. If you are seeing a regular, periodic fluctuation, that could be a sign of a low frequency modulating your output.
