We have had a problem with cluster flies in the fall/winter for many years. They start moving into the house in the fall and reside here all winter. Those lazy flies that look dead but get up and lazily fly away if you get close. This year, they started moving in and we took new measures to combat them. Bought some concentrated pyrethrum and mixed it in a pump sprayer, then sprayed it around the outside of our windows/doors/vinyl corner trim on the house. Then we bought this zapper for the ones in the house and the sneaky ones that still got in. The spray helped a lot! But this big zapper actually attracts flies to it and it has really helped to kill the additional ones inside. We’ve tried other zappers but they didn’t have the right UV light to attract the flies. This one works! Well worth the money. It is a bit loud but I don’t even care if it keeps killing these pests. It’s so easy to use and to clean if necessary, plus it comes with extra bulbs. Haven’t needed those yet though, just got it less than 2 months ago.

This thing is amazing. If you have a fly problem, get this! It works during the day and at night equally well. Don’t even bother with a fly swatter or sticky traps - flies find this irresistible and there is nothing to replace (except the bulbs but it comes with extras and it takes a long time for them to burn out). As an added bonus, it makes a loud SNAP! each time one of those pesky flies is killed. It’s somewhat startling and it scares my dog, but it’s oddly satisfying to know another fly has met its maker. Looks nice as well. Highly recommended!

The flies this year are unbelievable! We have tried on of those electrified racquets but its a pain to have to chase the flies around and try to get them. After a long day out while we had some work done on our house we returned home to find the doors had been open and our kitchen was full of flies :( I had had enough and so purchased this hoping for great things, and I am not disappointed at all! Flies and moths especially are attracted to the blue light and then zapped with a satisfying "snap". Even though it does work on then, I do wish that mosquitoes were better attracted to the light since if they are not in the direct vicinity, they will not go to it. Other than that it's very easy to use, works exactly as advertised and feels great quality for the price. I like that it came with a replacement bulb also. It is light enough in weight to hang up if necessary, and also stands well on a countertop. The slide out tray to empty the dead bugs is easy to use, and the instruction manual gives detailed instructions on how to clean it with a brush in case of bugs being stuck on the electrified piece, as well as instructions for how to discharge the device before doing this. Aside from the crack when a bug is zapped, it does not make any humming noise.

I have two rooms in my barn, and have one of these in each room. These kill everything, from flies to nats, horseflies to bees. 4 stars because the bulbs barely last a year. To the product's credit, it comes with spare bulbs and for the price of the unit I can justify replacing the whole thing every year or two. It's usually pretty disgusting by that point anyway. I literally never clean it and let the bugs fall on the floor and I just sweep it up. It does have a little cleanout tray on the bottom, but that's only half the story. You'd have to take an air hose to it or something to get the bugs that get stuck all inside the element. Definitely an outside chore.

Works great! Lightweight and super portable. I use this bug zapper outside and inside. It's still early in the bug season here, and I am hoping to get ahead of the mosquitoes before they have a chance to multiply. Despite the unit being light and a cute design, it packs a wallop! The first time I heard it zap a bug, I thought a glass window had cracked - it was that loud! It is still jarring to hear the loud zap, but it's reassuring to know it's working. A fly got into my kitchen recently, and I brought the zapper in, turned it on and went about my day. Sure enough, next time I came back into the room there was a dead fly! Usually the dead bugs are on the catch tray at the bottom or sometimes on the bulbs themselves. Very occasionally, like with the big fly, they get stunned and fall a few feet away from the unit. Because this zapper is so lightweight and portable, I feel like I don't have to buy several units, and can just carry this one room to room and outside as necessary. The extra bulbs included in the package is a nice touch, but I suspect these bulbs will last a long time. I am careful to keep the zapper away from pollinators.

Best bang for buck, we use it mostly for lady bugs and flys during the night, and it is loud but effective. only suggestion would be to make the grid a bit tighter as sometime it doesn't zap them until they spread their wings to fly. otherwise its been working great for a couple weeks now.

Works really well at catching flies, unfortunately it also catches bees as well which I did not want and I’m not sure how to prevent. But its definitely great with the flies.

Far exceeded my expectations. Delivered in a strong box as shown in photo…no massive delivery cardboard box surrounding it! Examples of the associated instructions show how clear and easy to follow. After foolishly placing on top of a high fridge freezer, and then opening the fridge, causing the zapper to crash to a hard floor I was mortified! However it still worked. Yes as reviews show, there is a loud crack when a fly is zapped, it only makes me jump when near by. Living rurally with animals in the area together with floor to ceiling windows, flies in the house are inevitable. Would highly recommend.

Ich durfte in den verganegnen Wochen im Rahmen des Vineprogramms den “Buzbug Insektenvernichter für 465 m², inkl. 2 Ersatzlampen, 20W Elektrischer Insekten- und Mückenkiller, Fliegenfalle, für Küche, Restaurant, Garage, Patio -MA015 (Khaki)” ausgiebig testen. Übrigens genau passend zur hier in der Lausitz beginnenden Mückensaison. Der Buzbug Insektenvernichter MA015 hat mich dabei wirklich beeindruckt, wenn auch auf unerwartete Weise. Zunächst war ich von der schieren Größe dieses Geräts überrascht. Mit seinen Abmessungen würde er tatsächlich gut in eine Fleischerei passen und ist für ein durchschnittliches Wohnzimmer für mein Empfinden fast zu wuchtig. Aber das Design! Wow. Kein Wunder, dass er mit dem IF Award 2023 einen Industriedesign-Preis gewonnen hat. Der Khaki-Farbton ist modern und passt sich gut in verschiedene Umgebungen ein. Die Verarbeitung ist hochwertig und das Gerät wirkt insgesamt sehr robust. In puncto Leistung bin ich mehr als zufrieden. Der Buzbug MA015 zieht Insekten magisch an und erledigt sie im Nu. Ich habe ihn hauptsächlich drinnen eingesetzt, wo er sich als äußerst effektiv erwiesen hat. Draußen sind diese Art von Insektenvernichtern meines Wissens auch nicht legal nutzbar, da sie auch nützliche Insekten anziehen und töten würden. Kommen wir zu den technischen Vorteilen: Durch das UV-Licht angezogen und an den elektrischen Draht gelockt erledigt der Buzbug Mücken, Fliegen und andere lästige Insekten zuverlässig. Da er sehr groß ist, ist er ideal für größere Flächen in großen und hohen Räumen - wir haben eine offene Wohnzimmer-Küchen-Gestaltung, da ist er perfekt. Bis zu 465 qm soll er laut Hersteller abdecken, das konnte ich mangels Vila leider nicht testen. Was ich noch nie bei einem Gerät dieser Art gesehen habe: Er kommt inklusive eines LED-Ersatzlampensets. Das nenne ich mal vorausgedacht und nachhaltig. Apropos: Durch die verwendete LED-Technik hat er auch nur einen Spitzenverbrauch von 20 Watt. Gibt es auch was negatives? Ja, der Buzubug ist alles andere als günstig und somit preislich eher im oberen Segment angesiedelt. Dafür lässt er siche einfach reinigen, Zubehör liegt bei, ebenso die erwähnten Ersatzlampen. Somit geht der Preis von knapp 45 Euro am Ende doch okay. Der Buzbug Insektenvernichter MA015 ist ein leistungsstarkes und optisch ansprechendes Gerät, das sich ideal für größere Bereiche eignet. Wenn Sie nach einer effektiven Lösung für die Insektenbekämpfung suchen und bereit sind, etwas mehr zu investieren, ist der Buzbug MA015 eine ausgezeichnete Wahl. Nur die Größe sollten Sie im Hinterkopf behalten, falls Sie ihn in kleineren Räumen einsetzen möchten.
