My son was delighted, it goes very high and it is a good quality but smaller than I imagined it would be. Works very well.

UPDATE. Reduced to three stars as after a few weeks, one of the motors just stopped working. Luckily it was within the return period. I would buy another if it was still available at the same price.This works very well for such a cheap item. However it does take some considerable skill and practice to fly well. A very light touch on the throttle is needed, and using the trim functions is necessary. First try to just hover and get used to how sensitive the throttle (left stick) is. Adjust the trims to keep it stationary. then practice moving back and forward and left and right. It does take quite some practice to get good at this. I recommend practice indoors in a big space first as outside it is very susceptible to even the slightest breeze.

If I could give ZERO stars, I would. Set up the Nano drone for its first go today, nice open field for my daughter to have a go on her new birthday present, and on its maiden voyage it went 20ft up, tilted forward then just flew off in to the distance. It just kept going, even though we turned the hand control off straight away to try to make it land. Absolutely awful and my daughter is totally gutted.DON’T buy one. Should have learnt our lesson as we had to send the first one back because it WOULDN’T take off. So we’ve gone from one end of the spectrum to the other. Rubbish.

I've flown nano drones before, the Hubsan Q4 and the Cheerson CX-10. It's part of the fun that they're twitchy. This one is twitchy, but there's also a serious lag between when you move a control stick and when anything happens. That's not fun and makes it basically impossible to fly. If the drone is climbing and you moderate the power, the drone still heads skywards, until it observes the input and starts hurtling towards the floor, at which point you give it full throttle and nothing happens until suddenly it's headed for the ceiling; the swings get bigger and bigger until you crash. Sometimes it's worse than other times. Modes 2 and 3 seem better than the beginner mode 1. But it's hopeless. We're returning this one before it breaks, and we hope its replacement will be better.
