Clamp-on DC current measurement!
I bought this because it was the first inexpensive (under $200+) clamp-on meter I found that works with DC current. It turns out that I use the DC current feature nearly as much as all the other features combined. I got used to that with an expensive meter and wanted a second one with that capability, but wasn't willing to pay that price again. I compared the two meters on current measurements, and this one is very close to the other (more expensive) one. DC current measurements are finicky (because of the non-varying magnetic field), so you need to constantly re-zero between measurements, or when changing meter position. But that is just the nature of a DC clamp-on current measurement - any magnetic field (including the earth's) will influence it. Be willing to take some care in your measurements and you will be able to get data that is rare in any meter, and even more so in an inexpensive one such as this. The non-contact voltage indicator is a bit overly sensitive. With most of the non-contact voltage indicators I have I am able to tell the difference between the hot and neutral wires in a cable. With this one it triggers when I even get near the cable, and will even detect voltage on a cable inside of a wall - so that could be useful - but not for determining which conductors are hot.

Best Meter for the Money especially the DC Amp function.
I had been using this meter exclusively for the DC amp clamp on function for about 3 months when I ran into a challenging ghost and leakage voltage issue on a new inverter install. Because of its sensitivity and used the Ohm and voltage (both AC and DC) for a complicated trouble shooting session. These other modes did not operate consistently and in my opinion not reliably. I was willing to keep the unit just for the DC amp function. I emailed the company and their spokesman Katherine politely asked me to make sure it was not something simple like batteries or bad leads which I never used until then. When I emailed her back she simply said a new one is on its way and a few days later it showed up at my door. I can't remember when customer service was so polite and responsive.

Great Meter!
I purchased this meter as an alternative to a higher priced Fluke and I am happy I did.The construction feels solid, readout is clear, and has a nice array of functions. The only reason I did not give it 5 stars is due to the test leads supplied; they appear to be PVC coated instead of preferred silicon coated leads. PVC leads are more temperature sensitive and if you live in a colder area like I do (Wisconsin), they become stiff and actually have memory (retain bends) in the lower temperatures. I suspected this before I ordered and got a set of silicon leads as well.A few things I especially like...Continuity test - Emits an audible beep immediately, not delayed like some other meters. The color scheme - Dark 2-tone with orange accent. Personally, I think fluke testers are ugly. The selection dial - Ridges with current position indicator proud/raised instead of recessed makes it easier to see.Light - Automatically shuts off after 15 seconds to conserve battery. If it's dark enough that I have trouble seeing the readout, I'm typically doing something that I only need to take a single reading and don't want to worry about turning it off again.High frequency range - I haven't tested this yet but I'm assuming this will allow testing low voltage I/O signals - nice if you don't have a portable or any oscilloscope/logic analyzer.Below are some specifications from the manual. I would compare this to a Fluke 325 clamp meter.Meterk SpecsSampling - 3Hz (3 readings per second)4000 countBattery - 3x AAAAccuracyAC Amperage (40-400Hz)0-400A - (+/- 3.0% reading + 6 digits)DC Amperage0-400A - (+/- 3.0 reading + 6 digits)AC Voltage0-600v - +/- (1.2% reading + 10 digits)DC Voltage0-400 - +/- (.8% reading + 2 digits)400-600 - +/- (1.0% reading + 2 digits)Resistance0-4M ohm - +/- (1.2% reading + 2 digits)4-40M ohm - +/- (2.0% reading +5 digits)Capacitance0-100uF - +/- (3.0% reading + 10 digits)Frequency0-100kHz - +/- (1.0% reading + 3 digits)Duty Cycle0.1-99.9% - +/- (3.0% reading + 3 digits)Fluke 325 Specs (per data sheet)Sampling - Unknown4000 countBattery - 3x AAAAccuracyAC Amperage(45-65Hz)0-400A - (+/- 2.0% reading + 5 digits)(65-400Hz)0-400A - (+/- 2.5% reading + 5 digits)DC Amperage0-400A - (+/- 2.0% reading + 5 digits)AC Voltage0-600v - +/- (1.5% reading + 5 digits)DC Voltage0-400 - +/- (1.0% reading + 5 digits)Resistance0-4M ohm - +/- (1% reading + 5 digits)Capacitance0-1000uF - +/- (1% reading + 4 digits)Frequency5-500Hz - +/- (0.5% reading + 4 digits)Duty Cycle0.1-99.9% - +/- (3.0% reading + 3 digits)Also, if you're wondering what the accuracy +/- % + # digits means, the best way I can explain it is that the percentage is the base accuracy of the reading and the plus digits is a modifier which relies on the devices particular count and resolution at a reading range. For example, reading a known DC voltage of exactly 3.000v. Since the base accuracy for the Meterk is +/- 0.8%, the base reading can be between 2.976v and 3.024v. This voltage falls into the 4v reading range which has a resolution of 0.001v and using the digit modifier of +2 digits, we multiply the +2 by 0.001 to get a value of 0.002v. Because the digits is inside parentheses of +/- (0.8% reading +2 digits), we need to add this to the base reading upper value and subtract it from the base reading lower value which gives us a final range of 2.974v to 3.026v.

Extremely Happy
I like everything about this clamp meter. I needed a ( DC Clamp Meter ) to check current for my small solar projects and batteries. This meter is very simple to use. Another feature I really like is the ( NCV ) which is so useful to see if AC circuits are hot without having to use the probes. There is a bright led work light that also is a very nice feature at the base between the clamps. Being retired and on a fixed income this Meterk Digital Clamp Meter Multimeter was thst which I could afford and very happy I purchased it.

Good Price, good feel, feature loaded, TRU-RMS and comes with a bag I highly recommend...
Great multi function tool that feels solid and sturdy just as a quality tool should. I love the Non-Contact Voltage (NCV) function that sounds a signal and light when it detects above 90V AC, this takes the place of another stand alone NCV tool. It has a LED function that gives you a flashlight in dark areas, works great in a pinch. The test leads feel solid, the screen has a backlight, also there is a SEL button that selects different functions within the rotary switch position. Example: When you put it on Voltage the SEL selects between AC and DC. The OHM position the SEL selects a OHM reading, a OHM reading with audio feedback (great if all you need to know if it's open or closed), and a Diode test function. It also has a hertz and duty cycle function. The big thing (for me) is that the current function does both AC and DC clamp on current in two different ranges. This allows it to be used in a automotive environment to measure current. A lot of meters do not have DC.It also has a Zero function, for example to zero the ohms and a Hold function to hold a value. The only thing I don't like is it defaults to DC first. So whatever function you select, Voltage or Current, the meter is set to DC so you have to push the SEL button to get AC. It's just most of what I do is AC. Small nit...Good price, good feel, feature loaded, TRU-RMS and comes with a bag. I highly recommend...

Good little DC clamp meter
Good meter for the money.I don’t have anything to calibrate it against, but the values displayed pass the sanity test.Near-field sensor can detect the power coming into my wall switch, and has a flashing light that indicates relative field strength, allowing you to zero in on true location.I’ve now used the DC clamp meter to measure and diagnose current in automotive circuits. Worked fine.
