Excellent Residential Recumbent Bike For The Price!
Very sturdy, approximately 90lbs, well thought out and built recumbent bike for the price. It was packaged extremely well and arrived intact. I purchased the bike for my 92-year old mother who has become sedentary and needs a convenient form of exercise. Having handles with the heart rate monitoring capability by the sides of the seat, that flip up out of the way to sit down, was good thinking and convenient. Also having stationary handles on either side of the display monitor for balance, getting in and out, and to assist with sitting down and getting up was also helpful for my mother. I was purposely looking for a bike that had a very low bar connecting the seat area to the flywheel to minimize the trip hazard for my mother that did not require her to lift her leg super high to get in and sit down. Allow 60-90 minutes to put it together. The instructions were impeccable. Really impressive and it would be very difficult to mess up assembling it. All the tools to construct it were supplied in the box along with the necessary screws, nuts and bolts. The manufacturer even included a few extra screws just in case. The settings go from a very low resistance level, level 1, which is appropriate for my mother to very high resistance. The transition from between resistance levels is smooth and incremental and the bike is silent. My only criticism is the display monitor. It needs to provide detail of what is being shown on the display (e.g., rpm, heart rate, minutes, etc.) and maybe an on/off power button. AAA batteries, supplied by the manufacturer in the box, power the display.

I am not busy wanting to get exercise "over with" and simply ride and read away the calories.
I really like my recumbent bike. It is light weight - around 82 pounds. The pedals move very smoothly and resistance is very easy to adjust. I wish the digital read-outs were backlit, but that is a minor letdown. Had some sticking issues when trying to adjust seat for my long legs, so we waxed the area under the seat area and it now moves easily. The bike rides silently. I can place my Kindle in the holder and read while riding, which means I am not busy wanting to get exercise "over with" and can simply ride and read away the calories. I use this bike daily with little exception. I am 69 years old with a very damaged spine and it is important to my health to keep active. When my back aches, I more often than not get on the bike and pedal a lot of the pain away, whether it be the endorphins and/or magic, it works. I got an additional bike seat, a gel seat that I placed directly atop the factory seat to better cushion that area. I bought the bike when they had a promotion going on and feel that I am very lucky to have made the decision to buy the bike when I did. My significant other put the bike together quickly. The bike comes with a brochure for set-up and functioning. I'm happy to recommend a non-fussy bike that is light enough to move about the room if needed, was very affordable, makes no noise beyond the reset beeping noise when clearing prior use data, I can easily see many calories I've expended, length of time I've been riding, how fast (mph) I'm riding, my pulse, and my to-date odometer. I think it has a very effective design and a smooth and quiet ride.

A very worthwhile purchase for me.
This was an excellent purchase me. Before I had bought a typical upright stationary bike. I found my butt got sore after 10 minutes. I read that one could get used to the bike, but I never did. With this recumbent bike I was able to exercise comfortably for 40 minutes without any problem. I’ve used it since then.Other positives:As others have noted, you can set the resistance quite high. This was important to me, as I have strong legs, and I still had no trouble setting a challenging resistance.I’m mechanically inept, but I was able to assemble the bike with no serious problems. It’s set to be easily lifted and wheeled from place to place.I’m able to easily put my 12.9” iPad in the front receptacle and watch movies while I work out. Some negatives:I can’t get my heart rate up as high as I can with other machines, such as an upright bike or a treadmill. But I can still get a decent workout, and I experience soreness with those other options, so this is worth it to me.It’s easy to bump the seat in back, repositioning it, making it a small nuisance to reset its position. The heart rate monitor is not great. I bought and used a separate monitor which works fine. The display is a bit dim, but that’s not a big deal to me. Since I have my own heart rate monitor and I can set a timer on the iPad, I don’t use it much.
