Worked perfectly for stripped decking screw countersunk / embedded in wood
Worked perfectly for the job I needed it for. Not sure how strong the metal is had the screws been rusted and stuck... but it worked very well for somewhat looser screws that were stripped an embedded in wood (countersunk) without reach to pull or unscrew them out. Drilled the stripped hole a little deeper and then pounded the extractor bit (a couple sizes larger than the drill bit size) in with a hammer. Then used a wrench to unscrew the screw (counter clockwise). There are T-handle tap wrenches you can also purchase to make the job easier (not included with this kit), but I used a locking/clamping wrench and things were fine. But if I needed more leverage I think the t-handle tap wrench would have been better. I didn't realize I needed one, so I made do with the other wrench in a pinch.

Works great, but the process can be challenging
I well and truly mangled 2 of the torx head screws while trying to remove my Jeep's spare wheel carrier, so ordered this set to save my bacon. The first screw came out great. The second was more challenging - the drill I was using didn't have enough torque, and the impact driver was just slipping. Eventually I went old-school and used adjustable locking pliers, and slowly and surely I was able to get the screw free (the soft metal of the screw made things quite difficult). The fact the bits and removers are paired together suggests they should be used together, but I found that wasn't the case. After drilling the hole, you'll probably need to use a tool one or two sizes up from the bit in order for it to grip.I didn't rate this 5 as I get the impression the removers will wear down with repeated use, but still recommend it for getting you out of trouble.

Fantastic job
Fantastic job. I've tried several times over the years to remove broken bolts with easy outs. I've had success sometimes and sometimes not good outcomes. This time I had two broken bolts in an aluminum trans axle and the left handed drill bits and easy outs worked flawlessly.Just take your time and do the job right and these will work for you. Remember, the drills are left-handed because if you try to use them like a regular drill bit they will immediately dull and not drill holes properly.

Amazing that it worked!! Saved my butt.
I was sure I was going to have to haul my ass to a machine shop to fix this bolt holding the blades onto my mower that had broken off when my mower hit a rock. I have other, cheaper sets of these reversing tools, and they didn’t work. This thing worked brilliantly. I’m shocked

Pretty case and shiny things
This is a light weight set.The flutes on the extractor break off way to easy. Due to space limitations, I was using only a 5in wrench, so no great amount of torque; and the extractor crumbled away!

Nice tool collection with a good price.
Read the directions. These tools work very well.

Don’t over-torque extractors, they break
Was able to drill into snapped stud bolt in engine block but extractor bit was unable to turn the frozen bolt and snapped (refilling the hole).
