Fluval FX4 Motor Unit

Excellent replacement. Super simple to remove old motor and install this new one. Be sure you are aware it does not come with a new impeller. I wasn’t expecting one with the motor, but could see how some may miss that detail. I’ve had it installed for about two days now and it works perfectly. Only hope that it will last as long as the original motor did.

Works great, fit perfect, and will buy again if it stops working... more like when it stops working again. Hahaha seems to be about every 5 years.

Bought this replacement motor when my 1.5 year old motor died. I woke in the morning to my fish gulping at surface of tank. The filter hadn't been pumping all night. Repluged it, It would only spin-up for a second, then shut down, repeatedly. . (And no, it wasn't the computerized start-up bubble-release cycle). Was upset the original lasted less than 2 years, but I realized fine gravel substrate had blown into filter and found the impeller, from my mis-aligned wave maker, jamming the motor overnight. My fault I guess. Maybe it overheated?

Bought this motor replacement a month ago and it's already died.... not sure if this is a quality issue or i just got a bad motor.... would not buy again.

Drop in replacement, I got mine new if that matter's, for my fx4 motor that went up the night before at 2am on my reef tank. It had the o ring and all parts, was simple replacement. Does not come with new impeller, shaft or bushings for the shafts ends. But it works out of the box. I have had my fx4 for 4 years before this happen, this has been the only issue i have had with it so far.

It won’t last forever and when you replace it my gosh you HAVE TO SET THAT O-RING JUST RIGHT, if it’s off just a little bit you get a constant leak and if your setup is like mine that means carrying the whole heavy filter in and out of the house multiple times. It can be a headache.

DOES NOT INCLUDE IMPELLER OR ROTOR. The term "motor" doesn't really imply that it's the coil and electronics only. Other than that caveat, perfect.

Was easy to install. Saved a lot of money doing repair vs new complete unit.

Me parece muy caro, interesa un filtro nuevo y ya tienes todos los repuestos por poca diferencia.
