Car-Go-Box

I've put this Kelty Car-Go-Box through almost two years of adventure abuse. Mud, rain and even a little bird poop that cleaned right up with some wet wipes. Keeps the essentials tidy, accessible, and ready for action—so when adventure calls, I'm not wasting time searching for my headlamp. It's my ultimate adventure side kick. It allows me to quickly transform my car into a mobile base camp. I love it, because I am always organized and never scrambling for my gear. Easily stores all my gear from bedding to camp kitchen to emergency gear all in one rugged, durable and easy to carry container. Whether you're bouncing down a dirt road to your favorite trailhead, tossing it in the trunk for a weekend escape or living in the wild for a week, it holds up like a champ! When it's not in my car, I can easily carry everything inside, restock it and store it away. No more scrambling for gear when it's time to pack or digging through a chaotic mess in the back of your car. Keeps everything neatly sorted with it's color coded zippered compartments. Road trip pantry? Check! Emergency gear? Yes! Car camping and tailgating essentials? Absolutely! This isn't a flimsy bin, it's reinforced walls are rugged and easy to clean. I love the versatility! Remove the three zippered containers and now you have a fourth container you can fill with bigger items like your tent, two burner stove, or even some firewood. The smaller containers have handles and can really fit a lot of things inside. One container easily holds all of my cooking gear. Plates, utensils, cook pot, single burner stove and 1 lb green propane bottle. Most of all, I love it that I am always ready to go. No more spending hours getting all my gear together prepping for a trip. I'm ready to hit the road anytime the pressures of life get to be too much. My go to Rx is a stargazing, fire-crackling, forest bathing adventure made possible at a moment's notice by whoever designed this Kelty Car-Go-Box. At the time I bought it, I felt kind of guilty for spending this much money on splurge purchase. Now I realize that it has paid off in mental health dividends. Do not waste anymore time being so unorganized that you spend forever gathering everything you need - only to get to the middle of nowhere and find out that you forgot something important, like your fire starting kit! The Car-Go-Box has made it possible to make last minute plans on Friday at 5 and not have to wait until Saturday to leave, because all the packing is done. Just fill the cooler and hit the road! Trust me. If you are an adventure junkie, you need this! :)

We all know that Kelty products tend to be thoughtfully designed. I would not trade my Kelty kitchen pack! This box, however, sets a new standard! One thing I love is that the bags have color differences that make it easy to identify which one I want to grab for use. The materials are sturdy and long-wearing. If there is one thing I might change, it would be to make the bottom panel a bit more heavy-duty. The bags are of a good size and, when full, this can hold a bit of weight. The bottom is pretty solid, but I think the weight distribution and carry would be improved if it were a bit stiffer. This is a **minor** design change and my guess is that the current design reflects consideration of overall weight. I find that this unit keeps me organized when I am camping and, just as a general place to put things I keep handy in my vehicle. Highly recommend.

In my old sedan, I kept a plastic gear trunk full of first aid and other emergancy "stuff." I purchased this to go in my new smaller car's hatchback, indending to separate First Aid, Emergency, and Personal stuff into the three containers. My goal was smaller and better organized. Well... it's bigger than I though. In fact, it's exactly the size of the trunk I was trying to replace! I won't be using it as intended. Instead I'm going to use it for storing seasonal clothes and "stuff." As far as construction and design and practicality, five stars across the board.

I’m a fan of Kelty products, the kitchen organizer bags are great on my camping trips. This is a large box, with 3 packable cubes that can fit inside. The large tote has some slightly stiff plastic panels to give it good shape, the 3 cubes are simply solid plastic. Everything is water resistant, but definitely won't keep liquids out, or in if there are leaks. The zippers have a cord instead of a metal tab. I think the whole setup is great for organizing clothing and other soft goods but I’ll avoid anything hard or sharp in them, either would have to pack each cube half full or I expect they’d give up after a year of use. Easier to deal with than say a suitcase with packing cubes, but less durable. Two things I'm not a fan of, the cross-straps that can go over the top to keep the cubes in place have some weird clamps that are a bit of a pain to use, certainly not something you can do one-handed. The second is the huge plastic label sewn into the tote, completely unnecessary and all the pinholes from sewing it on weakens the material, and it's damn ugly. I hope future versions (and other products) don't add the same junk. I’ll still recommend the tote, great for camping.

Part of the what I call the Kelty trinity of camping bags. I have this, the roll up Chef bag (for my toiletries), and the deluxe kitchen Galley. I did a YouTube video on them. This car-go-box with organizers is great. I store my fire starters, camp lights, camp fans in them. I am looking to buy 2 more for clothing for when I convert a pickup or van for colder weather camping. Also considering using these for all my audio cables when providing sound for events. Very durable. 4 years and counting. Never a rip like other bags / cubes I used.

Perfect for packing all those small leftover items for your camping trip. Fits an amazing amount of items. Good quality and looks great.

I am so happy with this bag. I got it for our truck camping trip and put blankets and such in each bag compartment. It worked great!

Lowk I use this tote all of the time. I’m debating a second one because I us the actual container almost daily. It folds flat and stores in my car or front hall, then I use it to transport so many things bc it’s super sturdy. Ive been asked by multiple ppl where I got it. I also use the cubes separately and together with this. I intended this for our clothes when we camp in my RTT so that things stay organized. We still use it for that purpose, I just didn’t expect to use it for literally everything else too. Worth the price !
