ACDelco Gold 337-1171 Starter

The starter on my 2003 suburban died, so I replaced it with this AC Delco unit. Perfect fit after a relatively easy install. (Curse words during installation rank about 3 out of 10). Probably the last starter I’ll need since the truck has over 260k on it. Not much else to say other than it was a fair price and I didn’t have to send in the old starter as a core charge.

Starter works! Saved me at least 40 dollars from the local auto parts retailer. It fit my 2003 Toyota Matrix perfectly and only took about 90 minutes to install.

It is a good fit for my toyota corolla LE 2007. my original starter went out at 159K 12.5 years old. I have no problem installing it. the build quality appears top grade. However, the little rubber drain tube looks cheap. the original oem rubber drain tube looks solid. I grade it 10. this acdelco rubber drain tube, I grade it 4. I am afraid it may come off. without the rubber, the acdelco starter will die soon prematurely. wait and see how long it will last. I am happy if it can last 50K 4 years. Thanks, Linh20190429 update after 30 days of use. I start 10 times day. That translates to 300 times of use. 297 times were great and strong. 3 times out did not start the car on the first try. However, second try worked fine on those 3 times. I am out of the return windows.Based on this information, I suggest that you go with the Denso starter (re manufactured) . Its perfectly fit my Toyota Corolla and great price. I am not sure how long it will last that I will find out in the future .
