This book gives a realistic picture of the needs to be a QuickBook Consultant. The book is well written and gives advice from real Quick Book consultants. The book is easy to understand and written in layman's terms. I would recommend it if you are considering to be a Quick Book consultant, although it was written during a different economy than today and some of the charts may be different from todays economy.It does not detail the QuickBooks program so you will need to buy a different book to learn the actual QuickBooks Program.

I read this book in less than 3 days during tax season. At first I was skeptical based on a couple of the negative reviews the book received. I finally decided to purchase this book when I realized I needed clarity. So when the book arrived I decided to read one chapter. Upon reading the first chapter I not only found clarity, I got inspired. This book allowed me to acknowledge I was on the right track, but it also helped me to determined what my weakness were. It reinforces how to over come the many issues we face as Pro Advisors. Issues like client payments, niches, planning, service providing, and most of all other Pro Advisors have been were I have. If your looking for a how to guide this is it. It summarizes the Pro Advisor program and how to use the benefits to increase your business. New and Existing Pro Advisors this is definitely a book for your business planning sessions.Great Read Michelle!!

Starting a business is difficult thing to do. Michelle takes a lot the guess work out the preparation by dividing the tasks that need to be accomplished into clearly written chapters in her book. Remember the purpose of this book is how to start a business and not how to use QuickBooks. If you read it with that thought in mind, it is a great book. As a bonus, there are several interviews with other successful QuickBooks practice owners, which give their slant on what was important to them to get their business off the ground. I had several questions for Michelle and it was nice that she answered within a day or so as well as gave me other web sites where I could get additional information. Not often you get a response from an author. I would recommend this book to people who wanted to start a consulting business of any kind because most of the information is reverent.

It's a pretty informative book. A little dated since a lot of this subject seems to revolve around technology. There were a couple of things that bugged me. There is a lot of fluff to fill up the book. The font is big, there are LOTS of things repeated throughout the book. There were lots of typos and grammatical errors. An editing issue. It served it's point to me though which was to learn about this business. Those were just annoyances. Luckily it cost me $19 and not the $30 as listed on the back. I would have been mad if I spent $30. I think they should edit this thing again, get rid of the errors and repeats, update the technology and price quotes, make this a very small book that you can read in a day or two, and priced around $10-15. That's just me though. About to read her other book How to Start a Home-Based Bookkeeping Business which looks like it's more well written right off the bat.

This guide and tutorial is a must for anyone who wants to have a better understanding on how to run a successful bookkeeping and especially a QuickBooks support business. All the material I needed was in this book and I am very thankful for it. Just knowing these tips has made me much more confident. This document is very well written, accurate in detail, and helpful every step of the way. Michelle does an excellent job providing the reader with information and a thought process for making better decision as they are starting their business. I use it as a reference book as well. There is much good information here that is cause and effect where you see results from following the instruction.

Have not had a chance to read the entire book yet, but in flipping through it from end to end I see that it is well thought out, thorough, and contains a lot of valuable information. Glad that I made the purchase.

I heard others talk about how great this book was, so I had to check it out for myself. I was quite happy when I got my copy and had a chance to review it from cover to cover.Each chapter stands for itself so you can read it on a 'what is important to you first' basis. Information is well laid out in an easy to read, concise format.I've been in business for 5 years - I find that the information that Michelle shares is not just for businesses just starting out. I wish that I knew about her book earlier. I purchased a book for myself and one to share, and I'm glad I did.
