This worked ok for the first 6 month and then started to slowly work less and less. First it wasn’t charging as quickly and now sometimes it just doesn’t charge at all. The most annoying aspect is now it’s not being recognized by my infotainment system and I live in a hands free state so I’m required to use the infotainment and not look at my phone. Don’t buy, it’s not worth the headache.

Maybe it worked a little TOO well, maybe it was user error and I wasn't supposed to use it on my earbud case--I don't know. All I know is that I bought this charger as a temporary replacement for my earbud case since the original charger stopped working (and ironically, the charger cables on the official brand site are completely sold out, hence turning to Amazon for a generic one). I have an older, nearly falling apart version of the earbuds that uses a different charger type, and I charge it with a generic charging cable--I haven't had a problem in the 2 years I've been using it. Hence my optimism doing the same for the new earbuds. I opened it as soon as it arrived and everything seemed great. I plugged it into my case and it charged just fine; in fact, it was just what I needed at the start. Cue a couple hours later. I unplugged the case, as it was fully charged, and was using my earbuds when all of a sudden--after about an hour of it being unplugged--there was a LOUD pop, sparks flew out of the case, and it began to smoke. I hurried and disposed of the case because obviously, but was confused because HOW??? The only reasons that come to mind is that the charger and earbud case just weren't compatible or I was sent a faulty charging cable. I don't know, I'm not a battery expert, but I DO know that lithium batteries aren't supposed to randomly explode within an hour of charging them. Just exercise EXTREME caution and monitor your devices if you do decide to purchases this charger, because no one wants lithium batteries to randomly explode in their house.

I have bought several of these cords, you get what you pay for in many aspects. They work for a time but then you have to replace them. That is expected; however, you do expect that the cord last longer than once and that an Amazon brand would stand by a defective product. That was not the case here, I bought the product in June, used it once in July, then it stopped working the next time in August. If you are going to buy something cheap, maybe buy something that is easier to return and replace. Their advice after speaking for half a hour with chat/customer service is to contact the manufacturer (it was an Amazon basic product), then go to UPS to send it off, all to replace a 6-7 dollar cord. Given that that is not even minimum wage, I will just take this loss at a multiple hour rate and shift some spending to places that back their products.

The charger broke after 1 day of use and charged fast but it broke after that one use. I’m very disappointed with its life expectancy. It had good length, connects fine and snugly but it’s just not a good long term charger, I’m very dissatisfied with my purchase. Edit 02/22/2026: I got a replacement item afterwards and I can confidently say this is not worth the price, I use a lot of Amazon’s items but this might be the worst I’ve come across so far, it just doesn’t charge. 0/5 stars highly recommend you stay away

I am disappointed with the lack of quality control. The cable does not charge properly. Upon its first use, charging a phone, a warning comes up saying that the charging rate is reduced. This is concerning, as it usually indicates a damaged or otherwise defective cable. Upon examination of the cable with a meter, it shows that the cable is only delivering 2.8W of power despite the power adapter and phone connected to it being capable of 10+ Watts. Upon switching to another cable the warning message disappears and the charger begins drawing more than 10 watts. The cable was defective out of the box.

I was kind of suspicious that this would work for data sync based on the price but I gave it a shot. As expected, it will charge an Iphone 15 Pro but the phone is not recognized by a PC so I could backup the phone using Itunes. Maybe it is a defective itme cord but I suspect they are stretching the truth by claiming 480 Mbps transfer speed. I also question the durability of the cable. Seems to use solid core as opposed to stranded wire because it is very stiff. I don't think this thing would last over several months. Thus, I returned it.

I leave it plugged into my work computer. It was working fine. I don’t have it plugged in at a weird angle; there is no strain on the cable; there is no risk of fraying wires or anything like that. One day I come in and plug my iPhone in. No response. Restarted my phone. Tried different USB ports. The cable is just dead. There is no physical reason why that should have happened. I get that keeping the wires bent or straining the plastic can cause issues. But this cable was plugged in and stayed neatly on my desk. Not used by anyone else. And it’s now unresponsive.

These are horrible. The white plastic cover between the cord and the connector is loose and moves forward and backwards easily. This prevents a good connection to the device if it's in the forward position. Several times I "charged" my phone only to discover later the connection to the phone wasn't stable and the phone never charged. I'd much rather pay more and get a dependable charger cable.
