Very strong and well made lock. I use it every day and feel confident that my ebike will be where I locked it up to a solid object. Folds up small and has a good holder you can put on the bikes frame.

I purchased this lock with very specific use cases in mind. I have a big, study u-lock, which I find heavy and hard to carry. It is also not necessary for everywhere I go - if all I need to do is a quick stop, it doesn't require a monster of a lock. With this new lock I wanted something versatile and convenient, for when I needed to leave the bike unattended in a busy area. Not looking for the highest form of security available, but rather something easy to keep on me at all times, lock and unlock.This Sigtuna folding lock fits the bill exactly. It isn't excessively heavy at < 2lbs, while feeling sturdy. It has this flexibility quality to it, allowing you to lock to virtually anywhere. The length is appropriate - longer than my u-lock, but not too long. The joints are very smooth, it's very easy to unfold and fold this lock. Contrary to some reviews, I didn't find any resistance in inserting or rotating the key - it feels very easy - maybe this has been improved.My favorite aspect of this lock, however, is how compact it folds and sits on the bike. Mine is mounted to the bottle mount and it stays absolutely still, no rattling, no noise.I am interested to know how it will hold over time, but I'm happy there is a warranty.

The media could not be loaded. This is a very clever, lightweight bike lock, and seems like it will be quite secure. The reason I'm giving 4 stars instead of 5 is because the instructions and tools provided for installing the bracket were insufficient. I purchased the "new" model; I suspect that the instructions and the Allen wrench were meant for the previous model, as the Allen wrench was too big for the screws, and the instruction to "place washer on bracket" made no sense. Once I found the correct wrench in my toolbox and figured out how to position the washer, though, installation was easy.

I've never had a bike lock like this. But I have to say that it would be extremely difficult for anyone to remove it. They quality is there and it folds up to a convenient size. I definitely recommend this product, and even a larger version of it so that you can have more leverage in how you thread the lock around stationary objects.

This is a very cleverly portable yet robust design that I would feel confident in protecting my property from theft to at least a moderate degree. There are multiple, small, lightweight devices available that are similar in form but offer no real security except perhaps to possibly deter a passerby thief who spontaneously decides to ride off with your beautiful bike. Some, costing quite a bit more than this product, can be easily cut off in seconds and offer about the same security as tying a good piece of string around your bike. Granted, nothing will 100% protect against a determined thief who is out to get your expensive set of wheels and has tools, know-how and time, but this lock will greatly tilt the odds of their success in your favor, and would send most off in search of an easier target. The design and quality of materials used on this lock is superb making the current pricing on it a bargain! It cannot be cut with casual cutters, and the type of lock employed (abloy) cannot be picked.But...(the conundrum)This package weighs appx a couple of pounds. Online it looks like it would be much lighter. Much of the expense on a precious bike to be protected was to shave a few extra grams off of the bike's weight. Having attached a lock that adds a couple of extra pounds, let alone ounces, might not be a welcomed idea to many. The owner of a very expensive, very lightweight bike might use a heftier lock like this to add security when storing in their garage, but would probably not want to carry it around at all times, as this is designed to mount on the bike. However, this may be very suitable for mounting to a heavier bike such as a tandem or an E-bike or for the casual rider with a nice hybrid.I've been jammering on...sorry...In sum, this is a great lock for anyone except the most devoted race-bike enthusiast who would never leave their bike unattended in the first place!

I was looking for something a little lighter than a U-lock, but almost as strong. This is it. And bonus: it allows more flexibility in lock-ups. The holster works great, except for one small disappointment. The velcro straps for the holster have a very nice rubber contact side for your bike frame so the holster stays in place, but the velcro is only on one small part of the strap so they only work with a regular size tube. I had hoped to attach it to the underside of my down tube, but my down tube is a little bigger and while the straps are certainly long enough to wrap around the tube, the velcro does not extend to the end of the straps and does not work for a wider tube. I don't understand why they didn't include more velcro so it would work on wider tubes or why they include these longer straps with no functional reason to be that long. Maybe I got a defective holster without the velcro that should have been along the end of the straps. But it just means I have to attach the holster to my seat tube instead. No biggie.

I've had this lock for a few years now. The first time somebody tries to steal my $3,000+ E-bike, they're successful.... Apparently a bar was used. As you can see it broke at the edge of the rivet. I have a police report and a case number and I'm waiting for the FLPD to pull the video evidence as the bike was parked near a police substation with cameras when it was stolen. Very disheartening! I really believed this lock would take some time for somebody to get through. In less than 30 seconds it was gone. The bike was only left for a few minutes (10) out of sight... In my opinion it didn't work as described. One star review.
