I bought these after seeing how effortlessly my cousin turned on all the accent lights in her home with a remote. I hooked these up to all the lamps in the living room plus the LED strip light by the bar, and programmed them to operate with 1 switch on the remote. Now they all turn and off with a press of a button. Marvelous! My friend saw it and loved it so I bought her a set for a housewarming gift. The outlets are easy to program if you follow the well-written instructions. Highly recommended so I am not wandering the house twice every evening turning on and off lights. This is especially useful for lights that don't have on/off switches (like Christmas tree lights) or lights with the switches in hard-to-reach areas.

We have two little quartz heaters that we like to turn on for a little bit and then turn them off when we are warm enough. It's great to not have to get up to do that. The remote works great. We have the third one hooked to our Christmas tree lights in the next room probably 40 feet away through a couple of walls. Turns on and off every time. Pleased with the remotes and the dealer. They came promptly and as described.

I love this outlet and remote. I use it to control a space heater in my TV room. My space heater has two power settings, 750 Watts and 1500 Watts. I was careful not to set the heater to 1500 watts - until I wasn't. Through my own error I accidentally set the heater to 1500 watts and, sure enough as warned, the outlet died. Rewiring the space heater, just a tad, I eliminated the possibility of going above 750 watts; however, the outlet was fried. Fortunately, I ordered a three-pack of outlets and simply started using outlet #2. Now, from the comfort of my couch, I can turn the space heater on or off with a mere touch of a button. The outlets are controlled using a radio frequency (RF) rather than infra-red so direct line of sight to the outlet is not required. FIVE STARS!!!

I bought these to replace an old set from 2008 which were about shot. These are much more compact and work at a good distance through walls and everything else. I won't bother programming them since I want each of the 3 receivers doing a separate job, but that is a nice feature.The remote has a cheap feel to it with loose buttons. There was also something rattling inside; I was able to shake out a small white plastic tab from the battery compartment. Everything still works so I'm happy.I'm using one outdoors, wrapped in a plastic bag...so we'll see how that goes.

Really happy with this. The Upgraded/New version is great because it allows the wireless box to work on the bottom outlet and I still have the top outlet to use for a regular plug.I was kinda confused at first. Programming seemed easy, but then they weren't quite working as I thought. I pressed the on button and two of the three would come on. Then I read the email that the seller sent to me for the FAQ's and it made sense! I just had to reset the outlets before programming. As soon as I did that, they all worked correctly with the remove.Would I buy these again? ABSOLUTELY! Totally convenient to use!

I LOVE this product. I bought this for several applications, all related to cooling and sleeping. My AC unit doesn't work properly with my remote, and regularly will not shut off the AC. I used one of these remote outlets to shut the entire AC off, just before getting out of bed. I wanted something that I didn't have to turn my phone screen on and use an app seconds after waking up to turn my AC off. My second application used the other two outlets, for when the temperature drops, to control fans. When I am trying to fall asleep I need fans for noise and keeping myself cold, but when you are waking up, cold air blowing on you can make getting out of your warm blanket impossible. I use the remote to shut off both fans on my first alarm, then wake up and am not assaulted with cold air on my second alarm.

I have two sets of these remote control outlets. The older round style and these new upgraded outlets. Both sets worked perfectly right out of the box. No programming necessary. I use this set to control two floor lamps that I bought with foot switches. The switches ended up being behind furniture and hard to reach. This solves the problem for very little money and no need for me to have my phone and open some app. I also like the all on/all off feature on the remote control. I can plop myself down on the sofa, reach out to the remote on my end table, hit one button and both floor lamps come on. So much better than reaching down to the floor twice to hit foot switches behind the furniture or to even reach under a lampshade twice to turn a knob. These new upgraded outlets are smaller than the originals and allow you to plug a full size grounded plug into the top outlet that is not being switched. Customer service is also amazing if you have a question or issue. The literature that comes in the box invites you to contact them if you are “unhappy”. They actually give you a telephone number that is answered very quickly by a pleasant person that is happy to help you. Anyone giving these things a bad review probably never gave Etekcity a chance to make things right. I love these things and plan to get a third set for another floor of my house.

These work like a charm. I recently had a very large surgery and have difficulty getting in and out of bed. My family is not always near to help me with simple tasks such as turning on and off lights. This product solved that problem. I can control 3 lights in my bedroom without getting out of bed. I have had no issues with multiple lights going on or off when I use the remote.
