Does it work if my console is lying down on its side?

We returned the item as it got way too hot and did not actually cool it down. It will not stay in if console is laying flat.

Does the fan turn on automatically when the xbox is turned on. Or do you have to turn the fan on separately everytime?

Worst thing about this product. It’s all manual. Even while the Xbox is off you have to manually turn it off.

Why does it not come for filter screens for the bottom also? Just the sides and not bottom is zero help

The description reads, filter screen for the back of the console only. (It doesn't include a bottom filter screen.)

Does it have a built-in temperature sensor & automatically adjust fan speeds based on Console temperature? If not it'd be a cool addition for a V2

No it doesn't. It's all manual. You have to push the button to adjust the temperature in the cooling fan and there are three different levels you can set the speed of the fan at. 1: slowly going, 2 goes at a medium pace and 3. It goes fast enough to usually keep it from getting too hot when your playing games for a couple of hours. I'd recommend having the cooling fan going at the highest level in order for it to maximize efficiency and keep your xbox cool enough when your playing games. But when your kinda sitting on the home menu you can just keep it on the lowest setting.

It's pretty nice

This vent and dust cover works well, easy to install just need to plug in to a USB of the back of the xbox(series X) 3 speeds on the fan. I believe 5 types of led color lights.It recommends when not in use to put on the dust cover. But To get a real difference have the fan just on at all times, it pulls air from the system and exhausts it up.I bought a separate fan for the xbox to sit on to get a good circulation

Fan works wonderfully. I would maybe suggest that the controls could be remotely done for the on and off. Other than that really well build cooling fan and light set up. Actually feel the difference of the Xbox

Don't look further

Works great and is easy to use. Plug and play.No issues yet and it's quiet for when in use at night. Only down side is it doesn't turn off with the xbox. That's a issue I work around i know some people play in bed and dont want to get up. Great product highly recommend it. Yes would purchase again.

Not good if you're using for overheating issues

There's a lot to say about this fan... and I will be the one who is 100% honest about everything. I've used this fan for about 2.5 months and I've come up with a true and honest review. KEEP IN MIND THE REASON I BOUGHT THIS FAN WAS BECAUSE MY XBOX STARTED GOING INTO OVERDRIVE WITH AN EXTERNAL HARDDRIVE (not an expansion card)Pros: this fan has the cool lighting options which can possibly accent any room and also includes two extra usb ports in the fan itself. It also has 3 speeds last but not least it was a great price and fits perfect on top of Xbox. Noise sounds like when the OEM Xbox fan turns on while on highCons: XBOX STILL GIVING OVERHEATING MESSAGES AND SHUTTING GAMES IMMEDIATELY DURING GAMES... SPECIFICALLY CoD Warzone...Overall I think this is a GOOD product not GREAT not FANTASTIC, but good. I feel that the inside part of the fan (the part that actually makes contact with the Xbox, doesn't have proper venting... I've come to this conclusion because when I unplug my external hardrive and run (especially CoD) I will still get overheating error messages, BUT when I unplug external hardrive AS WELL as this fan the Xbox never gives me the overheating messages... do what this info what you will, but I honestly believe there needs to be extra venting on the inside of the part that makes contact with the Xbox and there should be QC (quality control) testing to see how fast/efficiently the CPU cools down, because I feel like the idea was fantastic but the venting needs to be re thought
