Easy to install and works as it shouls

It worked fine! It would have saved me time if there were instructions on which wire went to which part of the fan.

The switch came sooner than expected and was a perfect match for my broken three speed ceiling fan. The chain broke off inside the old switch and it was stuck on the middle speed. Both of the switches wire positions were numbered the same, but had different wire colors. When I cut the wires from the old switch, I left little stubs of wire as reference so I knew what color wire that I had to match up to the correct position on the new switch. You do have to provide your own wire nuts.

Works, which says a lot. The switch action is smooth. One thing to be aware of, if you look at the body of the switch you will see several numbers and an L. This is important, compare the numbers on the new switch with the numbers on the switch you're replacing. They might not match. When I first installed this switch I didn't look. The numbers on the this switch are in sequence 1, 2, and 3, the old switch the sequence was 3, 1, 2. Which means I had to take it apart again and rewire it.

The speeds don’t seem to be right. For example, on the initial pull of the chain, the fan moves at the highest speed. Wiring has been done correctly. The next pull seems to do nothing. The pull after that slows down the fan.

When you order this item, including 2 pieces for 22 CAD, you will receive only one piece. I tried twice, and in both attempts I received one piece. If you want to buy one piece, its price is 13CAD. The item works well.

This pull chain switch was exactly what I needed to fix my ceiling fan. The fact the switch comes with 4 wires already installed makes it a lot easier than other options. Also, in the Amazon product details, there is a detailed key for wires color matches with the different products. Excellent.

This product replaced a non functioning speed switch even though the colour of the wires was different than the original switch.
