Good quality for the price
You could pay a lot more for a different brand and probably not even tell the difference. This filter works great and I've had no issues with quality nor problems with cross-threading onto the lenses.

Does exactly what I expected!
I have had many polarizers over the years. I have used filters such as this for over 25 years. I like the Tiffen as it is not too dark for most uses. I keep it on for almost every shot (unless it is night time or quite dark) to protect my lenses and for it's mild polarizing effect. (I take 1000s of images on a shoot, mostly landscape) Some other brands are too dark to do this. The dark ones many times look too polarized, and post processing has to take much of this out anyway. I do have a few of these and use them occasionally. I have found that an image that is properly balanced that does not need too much darkening or lightening post processing is much better, I have a Hoya but it is always falling apart (and way too dark). I have Heliopan 77mm Circular Polarizer Lens Filters and like the quality, but again they are too dark to keep on all the time. The Heliopan is the one I keep for special uses when I want more polarizing effects than I get with the Tiffen. The Tiffen polarizers I have had only were replaced when they became too scratched for use, broken from being dropped or run into things, or lost over board in my boat. As I said a couple of Hoya ones were replaced because they fell apart. I use a Canon 5D with all high end L series lenses (most costing well over $1000.00) and have sold over 1300 framed GiClees ($300-$800 each). I feel that this filter does not compromise the quality of my images. So in review. I don't want an unnatural appearance due to my filters. I do want the pleasing effects I can achieve with the Tiffen filter. I have never had a problem with any I had purchased, so recommend them to others. And I will continue to use them myself. Circular Polarizer and UV Filter
CIRCULAR POLARIZER: If you have ever owned a pair of Polarized sunglasses, then you now what this filter can do for your camera. By reducing reflections and stray light waves, this filter makes any scene that much clearer. You will see more vibrant colors in bright scenes, your skies will turn a deeper blue, and clouds POP right off the picture. Reduce glare from reflective surfaces such as metal or water. A polarizer works on a specified plain, meaning that the lens must be perpendicular to the direction of the main light source. As with sunglasses, they are parrallel to the ground, which works in most cases since the sun is normally above you. The key to using this filter is that it swivels. Looking through the view finder, turn the filter until the picture is clear and vibrant. You'll notice the image changing as you turn it. In this manner, you may even adjust the level of polarization. A great deal for a very valuable accessory. This filter works perfect, and compared to the higher priced filters, is a steal. ---------------------------------------------- UV FILTER: The UV Filter prevents haze and reduces bluish tint in photographs by reducing stray UV rays entering the lens. It also has the added benefit of protecting the lens and glass from scratches and accidental damage. There have been stories of photographers dropping their lens and the filter acts as a sort of impact absorber, shattering but leaving the lens unharmed. I would much prefer replacing the inexpensive filter, rather than a lens. In my experience with the Tiffen UV Filter, I have noticed an increased amount of lens flare and reflections over my slightly more expensive UV filters. If I were you, I'd put out the small amount of extra money for a better filter, preferably multi-coated to reduce glare. Enjoy!

A must have CPL filter for budget consious users but also want to have a well known brand
The Tiffen 62CP Slim 62mm Circular Polarizer Filter is basically the best bang for buck in terms of price to functionality. These Circular Polarizers feel pretty nice as the outer rings are anodized in black and made of metal. The optical clarity of the glass is pretty nice, but does not contain hydrophobic properties if in an event where water is in contact with the filter, the water doesn't bead off. I chose 62mm because it is probably the gold standard in most lens diameters whether shopping for a DSLR or Mirrorless Camera. Screwing the filter on the camera is easy, it is removing it, can be a pain as with almost all filters due to the small knurlings as grips is quite small. The polarizing part works when you rotate the other ring until you do not see any reflective surfaces on you subject. The filter doesn't just serve just a CPL filter, but also a protection to your camera lens. it prevents the inner glass from scratching, as well as dust contact. If I were to say to compare this filter lens with Breakthrough Photography Filters which I do own, It is night and day difference. The knurling on that filter is more prominent and anodized really well, it has nanotec® coatings to eliminate reflections and repel dirt, water and other elements, Weatherproof* and the clarity is just a tad better when compared to Tiffens CPL filter. This shows that Quality products come with a price, and the Tiffen CPL filter, I would categorize this as entry to mid quality product as Tiffen is well known in the photography world. Overall, I am impressed with the filter and it has served me many years of usage (Purchased in 2013). Whether you are a beginner photographer or you have quite a lens collection, I'd have this filter in my arsenal to enhance image quality as well the protect my investment.

filtre polarisant efficace,élimine les reflets dans les vitres et fait ressortir la texture des nuages dans le ciel. Maintenant tout cela peut être fait en post traitement avec photoshop.

Don't understand how there are so many reviews saying this CPL doesn't work, or is poor quality. The one I receieved (77mm) was clean and smooth turning. It really removes alot of reflection. In fact if pointed at a computer monitor, it can turn the monitor completely black on its maximum position which is quite impressive. I did make my own little mark to indicate the maximum/minimum positions as it does lack that. I however only paid 28$ cad (as opposed to the listed 42.12$ cad) for this filter NEW fulfilled by amazon warehouse deals because I assume someone ordered it and canceled it. It still arrived in undamaged packaging and not a fingerprint on the filter. Really really glad I checked the 'new and used' section to save about 15$!

It is amazing to see it works. The item was shipped from abroad, but I was amazed too see how carefully it was packed and delivered. I have attached a comparative set of images. I liked it

Sadly both filters are dirty on the inside so they are useless! In the future I will only buy a filter from a store where I can inspect them before I buy!
