Moleskine Quality
Moleskine Cahier products are a little different from your traditional hard back or soft cover Moleskine. The cover is like a cardstock (on the flexible side) and is a little thinner than your average spiral-bound notebook. The pages of these notebooks are sewn straight into the spine. This is a set of 3, coming in very lovely and light pastel colors that compliment each other very well. The paper inside is just slightly off white, and is a good Moleskine quality and college ruled. There are no side margins, but there are upper and lower margins. Each notebook has 120 pages in it, which I'm expecting to be enough for a semester long class. Moleskines seem to do well with ball point pens and porous points (like Sharpie pens), with minimal bleeding, but Gel pens and heavy inks can be a different story. As per the description, the last 16 pages are detachable. There is a folder section built into the back, but unlike traditional Moleskines it isn't a full pocket. It is more like a kind of corner square to catch things, and probably not as secure as the pockets. There isn't anything crazy magical about these. They're expensive because of the brand and slightly higher quality materials than the notebooks you get for $1 at the big box stores. I'm a stationary/office supplies geek/junkie so I was willing to splurge a little for something that I wanted, but for some people they simply won't be worth the price. I knew pretty much what I was expecting going in, and I'm very pleased.

Moleskine journals are a great buy for lightweight durable journals. I love the pages you can tear...
Moleskine journals are always a great buy. I love the pages you can tear out at the back for scrap paper. Even if you tear other pages out of the journal, the journal still holds up fine. The spine of these journal sets doesn't split down the middle and distributes weight among the pages evenly. The flap at the back of the journal is very convenient too, but after a while and after some (harsh) use, it is apt to fall apart. I just use some glue to put it back so it functions the way it's supposed to. The pages hold ink really well and I haven't had anything smear too badly on them. I've folded the covers back multiple times and it's held up great. After a couple months of using the same journal (for a bullet journal), it looks only slightly worn so that's a plus! The cover is apt to stain if handled with greasy fingers (thumbing through it while I was eating pizza) because it is constructed with a tough paper material. These journals are a pretty good buy if you're looking for something that holds up well under extended travel and on-the-go.I bought these as a sort of Bullet Journal starter pack as a trial run because I don't know if I can commit to a 200 page planner right now. So far, it has been working out for me great because it's so convenient for lightweight travel to school in my backpack, or during the day in my purse. The lightly lined graph paper isn't a harsh background for my fine point pens. The graph paper is great for improving my handwriting and experimenting with typography in an affordable way. It works as more of a guideline and is easy for self-structuring a daily planner, monthly calendars, to-do lists, doodles, and recipe indexes. The fact that there are three in a pack makes it a great buy for organizing more compact collections.I will probably continue to buy these as travel notebooks and recommend them for anyone who wants a dynamic notebook they can use anywhere throughout the day instead of just at home.

Great journals!
I really like the Moleskine brand of journals, and these are no different. I bought these as a Father's Day present for my husband. The XL size is easy for him to use, and the journal lies flat, so he doesn't have a problem with writing in them.I would definitely recommend them if you are a journaler, or an artist (since they make blank journals as well.)

I've ordered this 3 times so far
I love the quality of the Moleskine brand. When I saw these with such a great price as an add-on, I had to order it. There are actually two journals in the pack. The covers are sturdy, and you can color them if you wish. The pages are lined. They also look great just as they are. The pages are perforated and easy to tear out. After I got the first set, I quickly ordered more because of the price and quality. I was going to give them as gifts, but like them too much! For two good sized cahiers, you can't go wrong.

Long lasting and stylish
I always use the large journals to take notes in class. They tend to live longer than regular notebooks, and I don't have to worry about a metal spine getting crushed in my backpack. Pen and highlighter doesn't bleed through, the lines are nice and small, and if you use both front and back of pages these babies can last you a long time. These have colored covers, and they showed up as shown.Drawbacks, of course, are price and that you can't easily tear out a page. I don't usually have to tear out pages, but hey, something to consider.

Work great for me!
I've loved Moleskines Cahiers for years now due to them being able to withstand being in my back-right pocket everyday. They get roughed up a lot, but they take the punishment well. They are also slim enough that they are never even noticed until I need one. They definitely come with a relatively steeper price than the cahiers you can buy at a discount store, but none of the others that I have tried last me for over a month, and Moleskines last me for several months. The benefit of not having to transfer important info from one pad to the other as often makes the difference in price very negligible. I've also heard great things about the Field Notes of similar size and price, but I've never felt the need to try something different, and I'm somewhat doubtful that the Field Notes' staples will hold up as well as the Moleskines' stitches. My Moleskines get damp from time to time, but they dry just fine and I've never really wanted the extra bulk and feel of any of the water resistant pads. Being an avid hiker that really enjoys taking notes outside, I've never been let down with the Moleskines.

Moleskine is Moleskine, I'm always pleased. Not the thickest of papers, but I keep coming back. It is what I know and love, this and paperblanks are my favorites.

Smooth transaction and product arrived in perfect condition.
Cahiers are lightweight, flexible, everyday journals with customizable covers. Visible Singer stitching, natural colors and tactile raw cardboard add a handcrafted feel to your writing. The last 16 sheets are detachable and there is a pocket for loose notes. Cahier Journals come in sets of three, making them ideal for organizing separate projects or plans.
