This is heavy duty. The plates are pretty thick for what it is. They’re replaceable. Easy to clean. Warms up fast and even. Taking the plates off and replacing them is pretty easy. Read the instructions clean it properly. It should last a while works as it should very well. No metallic taste on the food.

Like it. Love the removable trays. Just got to figure out which setting is best for what i am cooking. Would buy this again.

Update* seriously! The day after I gave this glowing review the cover off of the green light indicator broke and came off (see picture). So I contacted the manufacturer to say this is 8 months old and although I’ve used it quite a bit, it’s not abused as I am a single person. Their response? Sorry there are no replacement parts and it doesn’t affect product performance. In my opinion it affects safety for user as now the electrics components are fully exposed! Offered $9 dollars refund..nope I want a replacement! No response…we shall see. I use this many times a week...I put my homemade sourdough in it with the waffle plates with a smear of nut butter for a crispy breakfast treat. I grilled chicken tenderloins in it last night and they were done lickety - split! I make a 2 ingredient cornbread with self-rising cornmeal and Greek yogurt for a quick dinner bread. Being a single woman this gives me the ability to have a little bread and not have to eat a whole pan full. I can even have a little bit for company too.

Gets good and hot on #5 setting! This is very important for making good waffles. I tried other makers but the wattage was less and I was not happy. Cleaning is easy due to removable grids. Sensor lights let you know when it is hot enough and when waffles are done. Love this thing!

Paid for itself right away. I got rid of an older broken single sandwich press AND a cheap waffle maker with half the space and still got an extra set of grill plates, 3-in-1! Removable plates make it super easy to clean. Definitely non-stick but I'll still add a little non-stick spray or oil when using the grill plate or waffle plate. Heat control is a great add on. No auto-shut-off, but that's okay for me at least, no kiddos and it cooks quick enough that I don't really need to walk away anyhow. Great product! Hope this helps!

Doesn't make very hood panini sandwiches. Dors not get hot enough

I made some grilled cheese with the grill plates that were quite good. I made some waffles that were not but that may have been the recipe I used. I don't know as the panini plates will even hold regular sized bread. The lights are confusing. When you first turn it on, the red light is on. Then when you set the temp, the green light comes on. According to the manual, the green light is supposed to turn off when it's up to temp. Then you pour your waffle mix in and the green light is supposed to come back on. Then it should go off again when the food is done. Well, that does sorta happen but firstly, the food is not done when the green light comes back on. And then it's just confusing from then on cuz the light goes on and off after that randomly. Meaning you can't really figure out what you're supposed to do to make a second batch. Do you wait til the green light comes on? Is it already up to temp and you just pour? Is the green light supposed to be on or off? It also overflows even when not overfilled making clean up a challenge. The temp control is nice but not sure it really does anything as it seemed both the grilled cheese and the waffles needed to be on high. Maybe using the grill plates for meat or chicken would require a lower temp??? Anyway, not overly impressed by this appliance, especially at the price. I guess the extra wattage (1200 compared to all the others at 750-870) means it costs almost double the price?

It works nicely, but beware of the size, it's really small. Not as large as it seems on the pictures. But my big problem with it is mostly the clip that doesn't do its job, it wont hold the grids at all, so you'll have to keep squeezing all the way through until your sandwich is panned, and it's annoying!!
