Excellent dual alarm digital alarm clock. Good FM reception too!
Excellent bedside dual alarm clock radio. This unit replaced an alarm clock that I'd had for close to 20 years and wasn't sure it would be up to it. Well it's more than up to it and at an amazing price. Dual alarms a must and they work great! The FM reception was also excellent, a pleasant surprise (since I usually wake to the radio), clear and bright sound, not audiophile stuff, but nice FM radio. I love the brightness adjustment, works as described and I can really dim the display when I'm sleeping and brighten it during the day for easier visibility. The instructions are pretty good, only one fix - if your alarm sound is the FM radio you must touch the FM button to turn it off (when using the regular alarm you can touch any button, but only the FM button will turn off the alarm if you use alarm setting 2 - the radio to wake you). Other than that everything works very well and per the description. Big, easy to read display, easy to set and set/reset the alarms, snooze works well, USB port on the back is added touch, nice FM radio, great price. Yes, it's plastic construction and this isn't an artwork, but it's extremely functional, easy to use, and it's a bedside alarm clock. Battery backup works too, I unintentionally unplugged it during some cleaning and when plugged back in it was on time with the alarms in place and ready to go. At this price, with all the functions it's a great bedside alarm clock with dual alarms (a must have in my case) and I'm very happy with this purchase. If I need to replace the clock radio in the guest room in the future, it will probably another one of these clock radios. Recommend, and I'm really enjoying this versatile little clock radio!

Nice little clock radio
No frills. No bells. No whistles. Just a clock with a radio that you can set the alarm with a beeping alarm sound or with your favorite station on the radio. Easy set up. There's even a QR code in the instructions to watch a video on how to setup the clock, radio and alarm. I love that you can set the display from really bright to no light at all and the multi-colored numbers are really nice. What I also really like is that the alarm starts soft and gradually gets louder. It doesn't jolt you awake. It also has battery backup so you don't have to reset it if the power goes out.

does the job
Much easier to set than my old Sony radio. Bright and easy to read. I like that I can dim it completely when I want to sleep. Took off a star because reception in my bedroom is a little scratchy, but not enough to return the clock.

Great clock for bedside
I had been looking for a clock that I could read at my nightstand with red LEDs so it would not disrupt sleep. My 20 year old alarm clock was still going, but the alarm function only played static, and since I wanted to wake to radio instead of my phone, the old clock had to go. I was also looking to add gradual/humane alarm and weekday/weekend alarms. This clock is close to perfect out of the box. It has what appears to be an analog rheostat to control brightness- so you can gradually change it from completely dim to totally bright. It would be nice to have a clock that was brighter in daytime and dimmer at night, but I was still able to find a "sweet spot" of brightness with this dial that was acceptable to read it at night and daytime so I wouldn't need to change the setting once it was set.The radio is actually very sensitive and tunes digitally allowing precise tuning into FM stations. The speaker is small and mono (only 1 despite two grilles), but sounds very detailed for its size and very good for an alarm clock. There is no AM tuner. While in radio mode, you can "scan" to allow it to use the dial to move between detected stations, or leave it alone and manually tune in 100 kHz steps using the dial, which I prefer. It has a built-in wire antenna which pulls in stations very well; during a weather front I even picked up a station 250 miles away (not normally possible on FM - may say more about the weather that day than the antenna). You can also set 1 preset which is for the radio alarm. The alarm settings are straightforward, and the alarms can be set to daily, weekdays, weekends, or off. You can set two separate alarms. I find the beep sound rather annoying but that's ok because I was planning to use wake to radio either way.My favorite feature of this clock is that the preset radio station will come on (regardless of what station was played at any other time), gradually increase from quiet, and only get to your manually set volume via the volume control on the back. In other words- you can preset the radio alarm's maximum volume! The USB charger works exactly as you'd expect. I currently have a sound machine plugged into it.Some quirks:The manual says that when the alarm goes off, pressing the rotary dial will snooze the alarm for 9 minutes and any other button will stop the alarm. This is true for the beep alarm, but for radio ONLY the radio button will stop it (the others do nothing). That said, if you snooze the radio alarm, then while it's snoozing any other button will stop it.The sleep function seems to work perfectly as intended, but the button for it is on the back of the unit. This is not an issue for me as I've found I need to use a separate sound machine for sleep, but if you like to fall asleep to radio this could be annoying. One feature I wish this had is 1 separate memory for the radio: when you listen to the radio and turn it off, when you turn it on again it will remember which station you had tuned prior. But, after the radio alarm goes off, it forgets the last station you had on before this, and if you go to turn the radio on again it will tune to the alarm preset station, requiring you to re-tune if you listen to something else in the evenings for example. It would be nice if the last station you manually listened to wasn't cleared when the alarm goes off.The only other thing that could improve it is if the red LED clock version had the option of the woodgrain case, because a e s t h e t i c.Overall I'd give it 4 stars on execution because it is so close to perfect, but would nudge it closer to 5 stars given how much better a job this clock does to cover all the bases compared to other models, in addition to having a red LED display which seems more and more difficult to find new these days.

Bought 2…both broke.
I bought two of these clocks for my boys, one blue and one red. Within 4 months, the female insert section for the plug on the back of the blue one broke off inside of the unit. I wrote this off as my boys likely knocking it off their nightstand and set it off to the side to take apart later and see if I could rig it back together somehow. When I got around to taking it apart, I was really disappointed to find that it was only secured by the solder itself on the board. A minimally overzealous insertion of the plug can and will easily snap off the internal receptacle. Solder is very weak and should not be used as a mechanical anchor. The receptacle should be glued in place at a minimum, but should really be bracketed in someway with the expectation that it is that is going to be unplugged and plugged back in multiple times over a reasonable lifespan. I know this and do not manufacture electronics. I would’ve hoped that a manufacturer would be aware at this point that charging/power ports are the most abused part of any piece of electronics. It was not until the second red one went down three weeks later, when the button you use to change the time just stopped working, that I decided to write this review. Two separate issues, both related to manufacturing quality. These are not the cheapest options out there so I am really surprised at the lack of quality. I don’t usually take the time to write reviews unless I genuinely feel cheated. Hopefully this review will keep you from from throwing your money down this particular drain.

So far so good
Got this yesterday, relatively easy to set up. There is also a code to scan that takes you to a website with a video for set up. Dimmer works great and the radio is really clear. Had to send another kind back last week because of the poor sound quality. I like the double alarm and that it has a battery backup. I also like how compact this one is.

Works
I read somewhere somebody complained that their battery backup feature didn’t work at all. I checked the battery backup on my clock radio and it works perfectly. Seems like it’s a pretty decent alarm clock radio, checked everything but the alarms. My confidence is high in that I don’t think I’ll have any problems with it.One month later and I tried the alarm, works fine. Listen to the radio and it works great, I have presets from the auto tune. Overall I have no problems with this clock radio, will recommend it.

No uk plug but great clock
I really like this radio alarm clock but did not realise until I received it that it does not come with a uk standard plug. I had to buy a US/UK adapter which was very annoying. I could not see this information anywhere on the description before I bought it
